To those that got the bracket that did not line up...what did you do to make it fit?

Thanks in advance.

I have a Fox 2.0 steering stabilizer on my JL, but I’m not sure what the issue is.

I have a Fox 2.0 steering stabilizer on my JL, but I’m not sure what the issue is.
The holes on the mounting bracket do not line up with the holes where the OEM bracket is. Not every bracket has this issue, but it seems a lot do. The one I got does.

Oh, right. The mounting bracket on the Jeep was too narrow by 1 or 2 mm.

I got it in with this:

Did you use it to on the lower right side? (when looking at the front of the Jeep)

Actually, I used it against the the stabilizer.

I leaned the eye for the bolt of the stabilizer on a steel plate, and gave it a good hammering. Two or three well aimed blows.

That was sufficient to narrow down the eye by 1-2 mm, and I was then able to force it into place.

Just make sure you have the stabilizer on a very hard surface.

For anyone else who might run into this and doesn’t want to take a hammer to their new stabilizer, I was able to bolt the top two hole in, then flex the bottom hole part of the bracket and bend outwards, then grab closer to the shock and bend into place. Wasn’t easy but it works.

Has anyone found a fix to this other than smashing it with a hammer. Fox hasn’t gotten back to me with the warranty request. I just need a new bracket. Can the bracket be ordered separately? North ridge won’t do a return as it was “installed”.
