I go three times a year and take my Jeep just to be able to drive on the beach. There is not may places left to do this in Florida.Planning a trip with the gf to st. augustine and heard you can drive on the beach, anyone ever been and where are the entrances for cars?
Awesome thanks for the tip. I’ll be researching a little more.I go three times a year and take my Jeep just to be able to drive on the beach. There is not may places left to do this in Florida.
I suggest looking at this website before you go. Beach Passes (sjcfl.us)
The city roads/A1A can be a little confusing in finding the open toll booth to access the beach on a given day, due to tides, etc. Some of the beach is one way so I suggest going as far north to get on and drive south (the one way).
Enjoy the trip.

Coop, call some bicycle shops, as they use CO2 in tires.Does anyone here know where to get a CO2 fill for a Power Tank in the St. Augustine or Jacksonville area?
HEY HUTTO HIPPO, brother you better watch those swamps and sand, OMG you can destroy a Jeep in a heartbeat and maybe become a take-out for Ally Gator, they love fresh meat.Gonna be in the Orlando area at the end of May. While my wife and kids test the limits on my credit cards, I figured I could get out and run a few trails/parks.
I have a 21 JLUR with a 3.5" lift, 37's, skids, winch......blah blah blah. I normally rock crawl in off-road parks as Texas doesn't have much public land. Been to MOAB a few times, but looking forward to possibly trying out some of that sand/swamps y'all have.
Any suggestions from locals would be greatly appreciated.
Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this....I'm more of a reader, not a poster.
SCUBA and Dive shops, all over...Does anyone here know where to get a CO2 fill for a Power Tank in the St. Augustine or Jacksonville area?
Nah, they can only give me oxygen, helium, and nitrogen.SCUBA and Dive shops, all over...
What would be wrong with Nitrogen?Nah, they can only give me oxygen, helium, and nitrogen.
Thanks though,

Actually, that's a good question, Don. Really. What would be wrong with Nitrogen?
GREAT and lets know which direction you take...Actually, that's a good question, Don. Really.
I've never thought of it - as a diver or as an off-roader. Nitrogen is an inert gas and on the surface seems like a natural replacement for CO2. And the automotive industry already uses it in tires. I already have a working relationship with two of my local dive shops... And I think N is cheaper than CO2 so this might be a winner.
I think I'm going to check it out.
