Dang, I was just getting ready to update the firmware. I'm guessing there will be a new release now. Did he say when it might be ready?

Also, when you say "camera back", are you referring to hitting the mute button twice to bring up the camera?

Thanks

The double mute button tap still works. This issue is with re-mapping a button to turn on the backup camera. If you don't use button re-map then you can update the firmware without issue. There's no reason to wait for the next version if you don't want to.

Also, more than likely, a new release will not be put out just to address 1 minor bug.

According to the response I received when I reported this bug... "Joe is going to go in and fix that right away".

I installed 11.2.7 for my 2018 JLR 3.6 Auto RHD with 4Auto (AWD).

The locker selection in 4H is still not working correctly. In 4H at a dead stop, select the rear locker, error message pops up saying select 4L to engage lockers.

I pressed the lockers off button, put it back in 2H and started driving home, but 2 minutes later noticed on the display a message and orange icon stating rear locker is locked. Mmmmm.

Anybody have slow response from support? I sent a text early this am and haven't had a response yet. I am new to the tool and I would much rather have a person to talk to than text, have a feeling I need a lot of hand holding.....
I received a reply and was told to email support.

I just upgraded my original two piece Tazer. Nice work @joe@zauto !

Brake hold is a very cool feature, especially with a manual. Homelink extension is also very useful.

Tazer remains my favorite mod. I’m on year three of ownership, and the new features keep coming!

I'm having some 11.2.7 issues as well. It was not remembering my traction off setting. And the double tap Mute button for backup cam was not working. I tried a full reboot and sleep cycles and then my dash was staying on- red light on Tazer still blinking. I unmarried and removed it for now.

I have been updating with my Mac laptop all this time without unmarring first. Not sure if this is contributing to these issues. Next update I'll try it with a PC

100% recommended to unmarry when updating with a Mac.

It's always appears to update just fine. It reports the correct ver and all that. Do we know why it needs to be unmarried first? Just wondering if that could have been causing my problems

According to Z-Automotive, it has something to do with the drivers and how the Mac interacts with/sees the Tazer.

I’m also on Mac and always unmarry. I’ve had my Tazer for three years, and I’ve never had an issue like you’re describing.

I would definitely try, again. IIRC, there is a checkbox that says “repair” or something like that in the newZPU.app UI. I’ve used it, before, to force my Tazer to reapply the same firmware version.

I’m loving the brake hold feature.

As for me.... I would not go near my Tazer JL Mini (if I still had one) with a Mac computer.. Track record of Mac in regard to the Tazer JL is not stellar lets say. I'd just find a regular PC to do my Tazer JL firmware updates with...

I know ZAutomotive is working hard to get the Mac utility up to par with the PC utility but.....

Nah, I don’t agree. I’ve been using a Mac to update the Tazer for three years. It’s works fine. Unmarry, first, for cheap insurance. Worst case the flash fails and you can do it, again.
