This is very true.That part mainly comes from people who buy a Jeep expecting it to behave like a fully modern vehicle. Not a solid front axle, off road biased machine. That said, as far as wranglers go, JL's have great road manners compared to previous gens. Even the JK.
My wife, who has driven nothing but IFS compacts & SUVs, hates how much the JL wanders on the highway. Myself, who's previous Jeep was a YJ, is absolutely amazed at how rock solid and straight tracking the JL is on the highway.
It's all about perspective, experience and expectations.
One other thing is that tire pressure makes a huge difference. Overfilled tires wander a lot. The tire PSI on the driver's door frame should be considered a maximum. Many find a PSI slightly below that to be preferable.
