I had no idea there was an "upgrade" leather.

I'm not bashing OP but does the Wrangler really need a step above leather interior?
The answer is hell no. Not where I am. With the top off in Texas leather will burn and trap sweat. If you have a hard top, never plan to remove it and like sitting on hot surfaces even with the ac, more power to the ones that choose it.

Well, he may be just using his as a commuter with occasional off-roading and keeps his top on 100%. That's about what mine will actually see.

I have the CBS option. Didn't really even look into it as mine was on a train when I bought it. Saw the option on the sheet listed as Mopar Stiched Black leather and figured it was the factory leather.

Basically its a cloth rubi with leather seat covers I found out when delivered. The non matched stitching is annoying. CBS on a rubi should match the scheme IMO.

For me, it will get bartact covers anyway. It's not a well thought out option. I would never have ordered it that way.

I have a 2018 Rubicon that did not come with factory leather. I just had the CBS leather installed at an awesome installer. Doug @ Katzkin really helped me out. Thx Doug!!

A couple of pics and I think the installer did a great job. The stiching doesn’t match the Rubicon steering wheel or shift boot red. It doesn’t bother me and I love the look more than the factory option. I did go with upgraded Tuscany leather. Still less expensive than factory black leather. I love the look and it’s really comfy too.

I agree. I specifically ordered these seats from the factory, as in my opinion, they look better than the standard factory leather and the quality of the leather appears/feels better. Just my 2 cents ;-)

If you paid for the regular leather and the Mopar leather you would be paying double for leather.
It’s an extra $250 over the cost of the regular leather. You don’t pay double.

I have the same seats as the OP in my Rubicon. While it would have been slick to have matching red stitching, The Mopar/Katzkinz leather is pretty nice. I didn't order mine like that, mine was dealer spec'd and I picked it off the lot. I've had mucho compliments on mine and yours look like they were installed well too. I've come to really love my seats.

I understand that. The quote I posted was asking about getting the regular leather and the MOPAR leather.

I’m just laughing at all this “custom leather” talk in a Jeep Wrangler lol.

I am following as I am preparing to order a 2019 Rubicon with the CBS. Does anyone know if the red stitching issue has been fixed? Or is is still white?

I ordered 2 months ago and it's white. Not sure if anyone else has ordered newer.

I ordered the Mopar CBQ perforated leather in my JL Rubicon and I am very happy with it.
