Well... it's free and my steering is tight....
I wasn't suffering any steering play like others have reported. So I don't know why you'd not have it done. If nothing else there's not a dangling recall associated to your VIN.
The new part is a better part... so I say yes. I just completed my recall today and I had no apparent issues either. I don't like leaving recalls un-done.
I dunno... the '70s stying is a bit ew.... The original Honcho wasn't a particularly successful vehicle. So I'm gonna go with the idea that this is one of those things that should have never been done. What's next? A camper top and Grand Wagoneer styling with woodgrain vinyl?
I just took my doors off for the first time this morning. I used the Sunluway hangers from Amazon and they are made well and were cheap. Here's are some pics of my setup.
I'm totally a mall crawler until the new wears off my Rubicon. I aspire to do a good bit of off-roading but my ride is too pretty to muck up until it's worth more than I owe on it... I might get out and do some sane stuff with the other jeepers around here, but nothing worth bragging about...
You know you can just take a cloth jeep and order whatever custom Katskinz color/pattern/stitching is available from your dealer and they'll order from Katskinz (not Mopar) and have it installed for about the same money as the CBS leather option is right? As part of or after the sale.
The CBS...
hmmm... @JeepCares how does one check to see if their Jeep is affected, there's no current recall on my Jeep... Just took delivery a few weeks ago on new 19 JLUR
Inspired by Greg Wessels' concealed hoist video on youTube, I engineered and installed a concealed hoist in my garage this weekend. It worked out great and cost me only a little more than $200 to source everything I needed.
I have the same seats as the OP in my Rubicon. While it would have been slick to have matching red stitching, The Mopar/Katzkinz leather is pretty nice. I didn't order mine like that, mine was dealer spec'd and I picked it off the lot. I've had mucho compliments on mine and yours look like they...
Hell, I'd have bought a new 2018 if the dealers were ready to get real on the 2018 prices... maybe when the 2020s start shipping they'll finally decide they don't want new 2 year old jeeps on the lot. But here in the midwest 2018s aren't priced any better than 2019s.
