I had that happen once. I ordered a car and when it came in it was the new model year.

Luckily in that case it was a refresh year and it went from boxy to rounded and sexy. I didn't complain.

If your order was accepted then Id say that it will be built. I think it would be weird for them to just cancel orders. Im sure it happens but it just seems odd to me
We had two large chunks of an FCA fleet order cancelled last spring and early summer, which makes sense if FCA management is trying to reserve limited production capacity for higher margin vehicles/sales. (Our fleet contract pricing is far below normal dealer cost for similarly equipped vehicles.)

Our order was a very last minute 2020 MY order that didn't get built before it became a 2021 MY. Our order was never canceled; it simply rolled over to a 2021 MY instead. I would imagine the typical order almost never gets outright canceled.

Did they honor pricing?.... or was there no change

From the time we ordered to delivery, MSRP went up $315. I ate whatever the invoice price increase was minus my pre-negotiated % below invoice.

From what I've been told, "FCA US LLC" still exists. It is the U.S. subsidiary of Stellantis N.V. or more specifically, Stellantis N.V. North America.

You'll still see "FCA US LLC" on the each of the U.S. websites of Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram, Fiat, and Alfa Romeo.

It does kind of say this if you scroll to the very bottom of this PR Newsire page reporting FCA US LLC's second quarter sales where it describes "FCA US LLC" ...go HERE
I stand corrected. One web story will state that FCA is now Stellantis but if you do a search for FCA US LLC you get their website.
Maybe because the former Chrysler corporation vehicles (Jeep, Dodge, Ram and Chrysler) are made in North America?

They’re not accepting orders for the 2.0 engine option till 2022 orders open up. That was confirmed yesterday by the dealer I’m working with.
This explains why I wasn't able to order my 80th AE except as a 3.6 upgrade (when the 2.0 is stock on the 80th). But it was the only way that I could get what I wanted and when I test drove, a Jeep it was on a 3.6 so... no harm no foul. I could have used the mileage savings on the 2.0 but the positive side is the 3.6 is a tried and true stalwart (fingers crossed).

I'd tell you, but you know the rest....
Well, it feels like about the same time that stone rolled from in front of that cave.

In reality, June 18. So basically, an eternity in Jeep wait time.
Ordered mine 6/17 and arrived 8/4. It’s a 2.0L.

Hi Hogdreamer, yeah, I think FCA US LLC is just the "shell" Stellantis uses to identify their U.S. subsidiary. I'm glad you brought it up as it's kind of interesting to me.

I just was informed this morning by an acquaintance who works at the corporate offices in Michigan as I sent him an email asking him about it last night, that FCA US LLC is still an active "company" and is the identifier Stellanits gives to both its United States manufacturing and sales arm. Whether that name will continue into the future is uncertain. He thinks they may change it eventually.

But yes, it's still part of Stellantis. It's specifically the U.S. portion of both manufacturing and sales. Since it includes sales, both Fiat and Alfa's U.S. sales will be reflected in the sales figures of FCA US LLC even if the vehicles may be manufactured in Italy.

My understanding is that there are three divisions of FCA in North America 1) FCA US LLC headquarters in Auburn Hills (the Chrysler complex), 2) FCA Canada in Windsor Ontario. and 3) FCA Mexico headquartered in Santa Fe, Mexico City.

Explanation here: Where we are in North America

I'd be pretty happy to pay $315 for a later model year.
We definitely got lucky. The 4Xe just went up $1,220 basically overnight recently. Crazy.

I ordered 7/30, had the VON that day and got my VIN on 8/2 (JLUR 2.0)

Just for the heck of it i chatted with Jeep chat and they said mine was in the scheduling phase. I'm totally new to this but does that mean they are proceeding or would they say if the order was cancelled?

I ordered through Peterson in ID and just perusing the forums here, seems like 6 to 8 weeks is pretty standard for them on "routine" builds. Don't know if the volume dealers like them get preference in the order queue or not but keeping my fingers crossed here.

Welcome. You will spend most of your time in D. They say once you move to D1, either you will revert back to D, you rot in D1 for a long while or your build quickly proceeds.

I ordered 6/18 and have been in D ever since. You will see others that ordered the first or second week of July and already have their rigs.

No one seems to know why. Jeep Chat is useless, Jeep Phone Support seems a little more competent, but still useless to provide any useful information in the end.

I think your dealer is your best source for information. I've resisted bothering mine, but on Wednesday that changes. I want answers and I've spent hours online/on phone with Jeep and don't know anymore than I did 7 weeks ago.

I hope ur one of the lucky ones!!

Good luck.

What is your build BTW?
