My question is what is the factory scrub radius set to from factory for a 2019 2 door rubicon with 285/75R17 tires .
(trying to calculate best offset/back set for a 35" tire)

Below is a chart posted by AnnDee4444 (credit to him, Thanks) a while back showing the offset needed for various tire sizes..

Here is what I Know
- From the chart I know a factory 33" tire have an off set of 44 (baseline)and when calculated is approx. 5.98" Backset.....
- A 35" tire should have a 38.6 offset which is approx. 5.77"
- Ive been reading that a zero scrub radius is not good and it should be between .25 & .75 plus or minus from ZERO.
- Based on this info the offset should be between 17 - 55 to give keep you within the parameters above.

If someone can give me the the factory sub radius I can figure out what the best offset would be to keep within industry recommendations.

Or am I reading too much into the offset? or should not be worried about it??

Thanks in advance for help, input, comments etc.

For OEM scrub radius on a Rubicon
33" tire baseline, 44mm offset
35" tire: -5.4mm, or 38.6 offset
37" tire: -10.8mm, or 33.2 offset
40" tire: -18.9mm, or 25.1 offset

I wouldn't worry about it that much, but if you really want to try something a 0.25" wheel spacer would be pretty close to stock for 35s on a Rubicon (with stock wheels).

FYI: The 0.25-0.75 recommendation was probably for FWD vehicles. The RWD range is typically greater.

Since we're not talkin about typical "strut" suspension, and there is essentially no adjustment to camber on a JL, and your question doesn't change any suspension components, isn't it just a triangle, a geometric equation?

I mean, I guess another way of saying it is, about a hundred dollars.
