I thought I was immune to duckage. Not interested in it, but I have been anonymously ducked at my local store. I am worried that the duckster may find that I am ungrateful... so my newly aquired ducky, smokey the bear, and Trumpinator are now dash board buddies.

If I get one more ducky, I may soon explode.

Didn't you know that there is a rule that states that before the previous duck thread can die a new one has to be born. This is to occur in perpetuity or else The Forum dies.

Look we didn't make the rules up we just have to abide.

I haven't kept up on the ducky threads. The whole idea is weird. I did not know about duckies until I got my Jeep. Like various other clubs, there are some that overly appreciate and others that join to get attention. I never wanted attention as it brings discomfort. I'm an odd duck so to speak.

I actually enjoy the whole duck duck jeep thing. I find it kind of fun and amusing. I have a bunch of cowboy ducks with red or blue bandanas I'll give out if I see i nice rig. I've received a fair amount myself and I enjoy the smile and compliment it brings. That's what the original intention was anyways. Just a small way to bring a smile to someones face. My kids love going ducking. We will make a day of it when our around town running errands, and I'll let them sneak up and put a duck on the door handle. It makes them so happy.

Obviously there are those Scrooge McDuck outliers out there who are incapable of appreciating small gestures and that enjoy misery and lonesomeness, to each their own I suppose. I don't understand the distaste or, in some cases, outright hate for it. If my kids duck your Jeep, at least they're happy. You're free to sacrifice the duck to your dog or the trash or burn it in effigy when you get home. At least me and my kids got a smile out of it.

Understood... though I am not social nor antisocial. My Jeep is to isolate where I can relax and be away from the crowd. Being ducked just gives me a mixed bag of creepy and confusion. I have yet to see anyone peel out on a ducky or blast it to smithereens with a shotgun. Though back in the day a local FM station had at it with Boy George albums and Tickle Me Elmo. I admit Tickle Me Elmo's demise had its merits.
