Similar story for me - I mean I've also had lots of non-sports cars too, but definitely had my share of sports cars as well. My favorite was an 07 Audi S6 with a 5.2 V10, but that was also the last sporty car I ever owned and I've never looked back. I pretty much "got it all out of my system". Now I'm much happier driving around in a giant roofless brick that bounces its way down the road at the speed limit. It's a totally different sort of fun than a sports car, but still every bit as fun, and I'd even argue maybe even more fun. Easier to stay out of trouble, too.I've only ever had sportscars. 66 Mustang, 95 Camaro, 00 Firebird convertible, 00 Trans Am WS-6, 08 G8GT, 17 Camaro SS. Then got the Jeep. Big change, but I haven't looked back!
And funny enough, I get way more attention in my Jeep than I ever did in my Audi. Not that I really care about attention (actually quite the opposite), but it's just something interesting I noticed. Almost everyone appreciates a nice Jeep, most people don't really care that much about sports cars these days.
