This is what happens with a cheap dead pedal.

I've often wondered if the aftermarket's obsession with perforations (for branding or aesthetics) would compromise the functioning of the item in question.

These photos make it plain that, sometimes, too much is indeed too much. Yes, the gauge of material used for the flimsy dead pedal likely contributed here.

Mine is perforated too, but the way it's rounded acts as a stiffener and (so far) it continues to hold up well. Running with the doors off lately, I've noticed how handy it is when making right-hand turns.

That sucks. Stainless model from Quadratec I have seems pretty beefy.
Yeah The Quadratec one rocks and I like the vertical clearance for when I need to remove floormat. Unfortunately, for the 4xe there isn't a second bolt to keep it from rotating behind the break pedal, so I had to go with some amazon pedal that is pretty nicely designed from Sheam.

You did'nt use it correctly, you're suppose to use the whole pedal with your foot on it sole down.
It's not a toe rest.
I've had the same one for 3 years and I'm 210.

LOL, not. Supposed to be able to use it however you want, and it should hold up.

Good thing I didn't try this one when I was doing SCCA.
