eTorque ESS is always "not ready"?

I had this exact issue with my 2019 JLUR, a new 12 volt battery solved the problem.

It's summer, are you cranking the AC? The AC compressor requires the accessory belt to spin. And if the AC is on high, it's going to require spinning regardless of how cool it is inside the vehicle.

This isn’t adding any value to this conversation. Etorque is more than a start/stop system.
Yeah you're right, it uses your brakes to power systems that your battery will power in other vehicles. Also your battery doesn't last any more or less time because of the eTorque system. All that really happens is it pops up with little message that tells you that nothing has changed in your vehicle but where the power is coming from. Honestly if that's not an unnecessary system, I don't know what is.

What? It adds low end torque to an engine that could absolutely use it.

The IBS isn’t a voltage sensor, the PCM detects voltage directly. The IBS is a temperature sensor.
This thread explains how the IBS reads voltage and current, and that information is used to compute stats about the life of the battery.
