Just curious if anyone else has gotten a call from Jeep. I placed an order in December for a 22 Sahara altitude and it is finally in production but I got a voicemail from Jeep while on vacation and trying to figure out what it means. Called the salesman and he wasn’t sure and was getting with the manager but haven’t heard back yet, will
Call them again on Monday. Just curious if anyone else has gotten the call or know what the difference may be. I couldn’t understand her voicemail real well but I’ve attached the transcribed voicemail which I am sure is a little miscued.

It means the 3.6L engine is no longer available so to ensure your vehicle is built, they are changing your order to the 2.0L turbo engine, and you will be receiving a $1,250 credit on the price of the vehicle.

I have read that new orders won’t be made with the 3.6 but that’s crazy they won’t make your Dec order now. If you have to switch engines ask for the Diesel instead :)
Please dont say this is true. I am a Nov 20, 2021 order still in D status. 6 spd Rubicon unltd

Here’s a video that will let you know what engines are available for certain styles.

I do know that the 2 door Rubicon only has the 2.0T now.

I think the Sahara can only do one of the 3.6 models. Try a search on the boards and you will be able to find what 3.6 they are switching you to. I saw someone got the same call last week, but can’t find it now!

I've been saying it since the 3.0t was announced. The 3.6 will be gone 1st, then they will likely drop the 392. Your potions will be turbo, turbo, or diesel...with turbo by 2023 in my opinion.

Found it! I put a screen shot of the switch and also the name of the thread with what page number the convo starts on. Hope this helps!

That is total BS on the factory part. You ordered a new Wrangler, with the engine of your choice. Now the factory is forcing you to take something different.
Now if it is still the 3.6, but without the E-torque, then that may not be all bad.

New member here, but I've been lurking for a while. eTorque is a $1250 option on the 3.6, so looks like they are downgrading you to the regular 3.6 and crediting you the $1250.

I have eTorque on my Ram 5.7L and I have to say that I think it's largely worthless. I see no impact to mileage. Really all it seems to do is improve the startup a little when start/stop cuts the engine. And compared to the 2.0L Wrangler I test drove a few weeks ago, my eTorque is much more aggressive about shutting off at stop lights. I'd rather keep the engine running, so I preferred the 2.0L start/stop experience.

If I had the choice I'd skip it and would be glad to save $1250.

To me it looks like you will be getting a 3.6, but not an eTorque. That's what the price difference reflects, no eTorque.

Likely true. Just be sure, @Jenvance , to confirm your dealer's policy on deposit refunds, if you provided one when your Jeep was ordered and if that matter becomes part of the conversation.
