How is that any different from the secondary battery dying and leaving you stranded? Granted you can bypass it if you have everything you need with you while you're out.
I’m not aware if ETorque failure will strand a Jeep(I doubt it) but a dead Auxiliary battery would only strand a certain amount of 2018s. The ones affected all have a software fix they can get at any dealer for free. All 2019s+ will not be stranded, assuming there’s a jumper around.

Hmmm. I ordered a Sport Altitude with the 3.6L engine (manual transmission) at the end of January. No calls yet. I wonder what engine mine will be built with, since I'm still sitting in "scheduling phase".

The ETorque system is also your alternator, so yes, if it fails, you’re dead in the water. Luckily they seem to be a fairly reliable system so far

And good to know about the software fix, ours is a 2019 so we should be safe then lol

It should be the standard Pentastar 3.6 (aka non eTorque). Simple enough, if anything. I still wish the Manual was offered on the 2.0, on the other hand.

It means the 3.6L engine is no longer available so to ensure your vehicle is built, they are changing your order to the 2.0L turbo engine, and you will be receiving a $1,250 credit on the price of the vehicle.
Yet when I tried to order a 2dr Sport S with the 2.0 turbo last week the dealer said it was not currently available with that engine. As I wanted an automatic transmission that meant I could only order the $1,250 optional 3.6L V6 etorque that they won't put in his Sahara JLU. Each of us can now only get the engine the other one wants. Go figure.

That's messed up. So now you can't get the 2.0T in a 2-door Sport and I can't get the 3.6L in a 2-door Rubicon.

Would be nice if they just took all orders and fulfilled them on a 'first come, first serve' basis.

Can anybody accurately translate the message at the top into English?

So far we have had 2 different translations and Google Translate does not recognise the language.

Just curious if anyone else has gotten a call from Jeep. I placed an order in December for a 22 Sahara altitude and it is finally in production but I got a voicemail from Jeep while on vacation and trying to figure out what it means. Called the salesman and he wasn’t sure and was getting with the manager but haven’t heard back yet, will
Call them again on Monday. Just curious if anyone else has gotten the call or know what the difference may be. I couldn’t understand her voicemail real well but I’ve attached the transcribed voicemail which I am sure is a little miscued.

Hell, go for the Diesel instead, I get 22mpg and tow my trailer uphill at 65 mph without skipping a beat, and believe it or not, its cleaner running then the gas engines.

Information is readily available on how to eliminate that SS battery on the 3.6, in fact it might be on this forum someplace.
