Hello everyone!

After taking Delivery of my Firecracker Red 2022 JLUR last weekend, this is my very first Jeep I’ve ever owned.

First Mod so far is changing the “Long John Silver” Stock Antenna for a Quadratec Shorty:

But as many know: many more Mods to go!

Great looking Jeep. I always said next Jeep I am getting a red one. Lo and behold, I am still saying that, I just bought one, and it is not red. But I think the firecracker red on a Jeep is one of those that never gets old.

My next one WILL be red...

A big thank you to the local Locksmith in my Hometown for configuring this to my Keys. I’ve known their Family for a while and am happy to support their long standing Business!

Got one layer of Security down. Now time to find a Hood Lock.

Unfortunately, the Rear Door Guards are currently out of stock. Hoping @Quadratec can follow up on Restocks along the way (especially with the Dead Pedal that I still have on Backorder, like everyone else 😪)

Finally got the Quadratec Dead Pedal in, realizing what held my Order back was the Rubber Pad that goes over it. I could always cut one up to my liking regardless:

Plus I got my Auto Start/Stop Eliminator hooked up, where there’s no need to worry about forgetting to press that damn Button on every startup:

Being a Ballerina, I didn’t mind the “Dashboard Yoga” to get everything bolted on and hooked up. I needed some of that after a crazy Schedule of Classes lately. 🧘🏽‍♀️🩰

After driving around, it’s a definite “yes.” Having something to plant my Left Foot on helps stabilize me while I drive. One of the very reasons I went for this full pedal configuration and not the small one (forgot the Brand) I see in other Jeeps.

I highly recommend the Bolt hood lock. It is very high quality and works better than the Mopar lock. The Bolt is a lot cheaper than the Mopar lock also.

You will not need to visit your locksmith to key the hood lock so it is the same as your FOB key. The Bolt has a automatic re-key feature. You just insert you FOB key and turn it a few times and the lock is set to your key. The hood lock is super easy to install also. It is worth every penny of the $105 bucks it cost.

I started a thread about Dead Pedals. I wonder the same? I am probably going to order the Quadratec Dead Pedal before my road trip. Hopefully it is back in stock.

@rubiria @viper88
Rubiria, sorry I didn’t catch you in time, great trick I got off the Gladiator forum, if you get a dead pedal where the install is to remove the nut that would hold on the clutch, slip on your dead pedal and reinstall the nut, a great option is to leave the factory nut alone and just get a wing nut to install the pedal - easy on, easy off. I did that and now I’m sitting here with a wing nut and dead pedal waiting for a Wrangler, lol.

And my pedal was well worth it, I didn’t like the dangling leg, had the pedal in time for a 4k mile trip to Oklahoma and my leg never bothered me once, whole ride was great actually, which says something about the Mojave seat too. Dead pedal = Must have!

5K Miles later and I successfully did my first Oil Change on her… At the stock Rubicon Height, I still managed to squeeze underneath her without Ramps or a Lift. Hopefully with a 2in Lift in my Future, I’ll have a better time doing these.

Not sponsored by these guys, by any means. But I did my research on Ultra1Plus Oils and their growing reputation. I pulled the trigger and decided to give this a go. Full Synthetic, API-SP approved and the correct amount of quarts and viscosity; and made in right here in the US of A (processed in Texas; distributed from Florida). I was very pleased with the first Test Run in.

Maybe I should do a Review on this when the time comes.
