Just curious what peoples thoughts were regarding engine badging on the Jeep? Anyone think Jeep should start placing a small badge on the back identifying engine type? The 392 is easy to spot but wondering if other engine types should be noted? I believe earlier Wrangler models had small writing in the back such as 4.0. I was tempted to try to find a factory looking engine badge for mine.
There kind of is already (although not in the instance you are referring to). The color around the rubicon indicates the engine.

I put this vintage CJ era emblem on, more to do with it fitting the vibe I’m going for than to advertise what engine it has.

Think he means 392s have gold text. Red text could still be v6s or turbos though.

I stand by my statement that only the 2.0t and 3.6L are unidentified on the exterior.

As an aside, I assume that all other non engine marked Wranglers have 3.6L engines, so I feel superior to them because of my massively more torquey engine…?

I'm for de-badging of any kind, actually I removed most of the tacky badges on my Jeep.

I'm comfortable with what I drive, don't need all that pretentious flare.
Yep. I'd only be interested if someone had, say, a squirrel cage under the hood.

No one cares what engine you have.

Same here, there is not a single logo on mine… except I think maybe the wheels say “Jeep”.
