This is my JT, totaled last November. Frame & body mount bolts bent amongst other damage, but the windshield survived Guy ran a stop sign I t-boned him at 35mph. Walked away with cuts & bruises on my hands from the airbag. Counted my blessings that day.

Try them stock for awhile before going crazy with mods.

Same thing on my wife’s Highlander. Safelite would not replace the windshield without recalibrating. Spectrum said it shouldn’t be necessary and it wasn’t.

Yes it’s one piece. Taking it out? Very carefully, not always successful. I always vacuum the carpet when I take them out to clean anyway.
