51.5 for a willys? That seems really high to me. Have you tried talking with any of the dealers listed on this site?

Well, that is the MSRP of a Willys with those options. What he ends up paying is another story.

Here’s a Willys window sticker with an itemized list (under 25W) of exactly what you get for your $6,055.

I almost ordered a Willys in lieu of my Sport, but I didn't and still don't see the value proposition in $6K for wheels, LED lighting and a few other modest niceties. Shame, really.

We are in the exact same place as you are with a willys xr order. Getting prices now. May have missed it but DONT FORGET the tread lightly discount, 1% below invoice. IF YOU DONT ASK the dealers SO FAR haven't volunteered the discount.

I used information on this forum to walk into my local dealership (10 miles from yours) and walked out with a nice below invoice purchase order. Simply mentioning the fact that I could drive 2-3 hours to save thousands by using one of the mentioned dealerships on this thread. I said that if you could not come very close to their price, although I would prefer to buy local, I’d also would have no problem traveling to save the money.

PM me and I’ll let you know which dealership.

I only came across this forum yesterday, so I haven't spoken to the PA dealer yet. I think the options I chose are worth paying for, and since there are no wranglers anywhere close to this on lots around here, it seemed like a good idea to order it exactly how I wanted it. I visited 4 dealers yesterday and all are charging MSRP minus maybe 500-700 bucks. The ones slightly further away all have a 3k upcharge.
I will call the Horsham pa dealer, and share this sheet with them to get a direct comparison on pricing.

What I noticed is that the Selec-trac is now available on the Sport!!!!!! Wow, that is great and an excellent choice you made to go with it?

It looks correct. JLJL74 is the Sport, 25W is the Willys package.
If you haven't pulled the trigger get a price from Chapman in PA, or Gupton in TN. The will quote 4 or 5% under invoice. I would expect 60-90 days for delivery. Do some searches and do some reading. I bet you end up closer to 43k rather than 51k.
Vehicles are expensive. Making a mistake and buying the wrong one is more expensive.

There are plenty of dealers not using the line “in this market…” if you would like to save $4500-$5500 off your order…. Hell, I got over $10K off a 392, so I know you’ll score a deal somewhere. I didn’t even try, I just made one phone call

Willys adds to Sport:
  1. A rear D44 with LSD
  2. Rubicon rock rails and shocks
  3. 32” Firestone Destination MTs on nicely styled blacked-out wheels
  4. Blacked out grille, badging and cool Willys hood decals
  5. “Upgraded” Sahara/Rubicon bumpers
Willys is the sweet spot in the entire Wrangler lineup, IMO: it gets you the basic hardware in an affordable package, without looking ”base.”

Same here. All I really wanted from the Willys package was the LSD, which I just ordered a la carte for $595. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a great looking Jeep but I couldn’t justify the added cost based on my actual needs.

"Base" isn't a word used by Stellantis, nor it is an aesthetic that concerns me. ;)

And how is a bumper that still can't accept a winch an "upgrade" on a Wrangler of any flavor? A blacked-out grill and a few extra decals aren't going to get us unstuck.

The only sweet spot is the sheer profit being sent to Toledo.

Well, I wanted to use the word cheap instead of base to describe Sport’s looks, but if “aesthetic” doesn’t concern you, then there’s no point in arguing... ;)

I believe Toledo only gets a piece, the rest goes to corporate HQ in Amsterdam, NL.
