I think it's cute & it brings a smile to my face. I have been ducked maybe 5 times & I redistribute the ducks within a day or two. If this practice offends you may be holding on too tight.

I've been driving exclusively Jeeps for a very long time now and I was "ducked" for the first time about 4 months ago. Normally I would have thought stuff like that was stupid, but I have to admit it made me feel good. Don't know why, but it did. Just being honest.

Said it before, and I'll say it again. Ducking is totally benevolent and if it brings people joy, let them have their fun.
Well we should make stickers with a duck and a line through it for the people that think it’s stupid.

I take it as a sign of someone else's appreciation for my Jeep. Only the toughest of men would not want to have that attention. I appreciate the appreciation.

Regrettably I have made silly responses that were surprisingly blocked
Oddly Mike, I have made some outrageous comments and have never been blocked!

Contradictorily, I give ducks - because I don’t give a duck. I like making people smile or say “WTF?”

Surprisingly, the salesman of my last Jeep gave me a duck before I drove off. That one is on the dash, along with a Jeep-hating buddy of mine’s duck (my off-road mechanic) who gave me a duck flipping the bird. Something special ‘bout that. It screams “Murica!” A bird flipping the bird.

Ive gotten a few in the wild but most of mine have come from Jeep Beech and Great Smokey Mountain Jeep Invasion.
Same. I believe Pigeon Forge / Smoky Mtn Area is a heavy ducking location - regardless of whether or not its Jeep weekend. I was ducked 3 times in one day up there last year. During GSMJI I came with the dash loaded with ducks that were left on my fenders & handles, thrown to my kids from other Jeepers, even shot at me from a t-shirt cannon-like device. Most were offloaded in the garage as soon as we got home.

My Jeep must be bad! The morning this picture was taken, my friends Gladiator had 2 on it, and I’ve never got one. That being said, I don’t want one either. I’ve already got too much junk, I’d put it on the next Jeep I saw just to get rid of it.

I agree 100% at least we all know who never wheels their jeep. I don't know if ducks on a dash will survive gate keepers.

I agree that the "ducking" has gotten way out of hand. When it first started it was only for highly modified and unique Jeeps, and those may have a few ducks on the dash. It was actually "special" to be ducked.....
Nowadays the Jeeps I see with the 30 ducks on the dash are completely stock base models. My opinion those are just ridiculous. They probably didn't actually get ducked, but bought them at Walmart! Wasn't the original purpose of the ducks to constantly pass them around and not collect them?
This summer they had a big Jeep show 1/2 mile from my house. Usually avoid "shows" but wasn't doing anything and it was really close. Threw up in my mouth a little walking around looking at the Jeeps. Quite apparent that Jeep Wranglers are the new "ricers" or "low riders" of the automotive world. Used to be the big trend were small foreign cars like Civics with completely ridiculous and unpractical mods. Apparently that has now moved into the Jeep world. Never seen so many big rims, neon lights, and gawdy anime or cartoon themed wraps on Jeeps before. Not to mention all the ones with 50 ducks sitting on their hood, or even several with kiddy swimming pools next to them filled with rubber ducks.

What are you on about "only" for highly modified Jeeps? What in the weird gatekeeping bullshit is this

Naww, all that really says is that you don't go to the mall very often. Also your Jeep is probably modified, and not shiny and pristine.

99% of Wranglers that get ducked have the stock bumpers.

I'm here to tell ya that I'm part of that 1% ?????, stock bumpers, still haven't been ducked ?

I've been ducked a few times, usually at hiking trailheads. Though I got one at the zoo last year (it was a duck with giraffe spots, so I appreciated the ducker staying on theme!). Most of the ones I've gotten have been blue, though, so I guess they liked the the Hydro Blue.

I look at it as a stranger just trying to make someone else smile. There's too much anger in the world already to get upset over an innocent gesture.
