Ducking History

I am not a "ducker". I do have a giant duck on my dash that was a gift from my daughter.

In my mind, if you have a duck (or 20) on the dash you are open to ducking and being ducked. If there is no duck displayed, then duckers need to stay away.

However, I keep a bag o' ducks in my Jeep in case I have friends along - typically summer topless Jeep Day, that kind of thing. They think it is fun and a novelty, and it gives them something to do to feel special (nod to the "ducking is selfish" post above)

It might be stupid - that is a personal preference / perception.

I duck jeeps from time to time. I always leave money taped to the bottom of the duck whenever I do it and have yet to get a complaint. You all must be doing it wrong.

I parked next to this jeep today. I thought, ok I'll give them one of my ducks, as I walked infront of it, they had way too many ducks. One more would only be in the way.

You know what I like about ducks. First of all people can do anything they want with their rides. And they do. Therefor they're just for looks. I like to be different, so I don't have any ducks. It makes me look more serious. You guys call 'em Mall Crawlers, old school street racers used to say "All Show And No Go". You can tell which Jeeps are hard core and which are just for fun. It's all cool, but personally, i'm more attracted to the performance aspect, and sometimes you have to look harder to see that, and sometimes you can't even see the performance upgrades (sleeper style). So i'm not going to knock the "duck thing". But I like to joke around about having a duck hanging from my rear tow hook. I don't. And I don't want anything on my dashboard. Even my cellphone is in a travel bag in the back.

My wife was sitting in a Culver's parking lot this morning waiting for the bank next door to open and got a knock on her window.
It was the manager of Culver's.
He handed her a duck with a little coupon around it's neck good for a free burger...
