Worked like a charm! I love the new setup. Hardly any vibration at all! I love this solution. I think the Adventure mirrors are a cool shape too.

Finally. Weather that cooperated today in Iowa. 75 and sun. Got Wruby half-naked. Wife doesn’t like it when I take the back doors off with the kids riding. So I sneak it in sometimes... lol

^ those appear to be single hinge mounts, similar to many others, as is typical. The consensus on these is that they vibrate, wobble, and worse - they move or swing inward when driving at speed. My advice - skip these and go for something more secure and stable. A few other options. Refer to prior pages in this thread.

My DoubleTake mirrors don’t arrive till Monday, but I got the RAM ball and arm installed already. Went to Home Depot to get shorter M8 bolts and washers.

Then I decided the exposed chrome on the RAM ball stem needed to be black so I dipped it. Much better.

Great idea to do it this way..... can you maybe post a part's list on here as I am sure a lot of us would be interested!

Heres an old golf cart mirror I had laying around that I put to good use, Removed the cowl bolt closest to the door and found one of my hard top bolts fit and was long enough to use a spacer between the cowl and the L bracket on the mirror, then I used a nut I found that was the perfect size. Its solid, no vibration and it doesnt move. Standard 5" mirror that probably could be found for less than $20.

Cheap mirrors from Amazon showed up today. Pain in the ass to adjust correctly, and they shake a little driving down the road.
They do the job, but I really think the perfect solution would be to find a way to keep the rear camera on. Blind spots are actually less with the rear view camera than the mirrors. The only time I find the mirrors better are when backing into a tight spot since I can see exactly where my tires are.

Just ordered a set of these from Amz. Cheap but decent ratings. Lot's of other good suggestions in this thread. I just want to be legal, very occasional use.

Wondering if any has used these mirrors. I'm looking for something simple, hinge mount, occasional use. I like the old school look to these round ones. No reviews on Amazon yet.

Just got these yesterday. Installed but never got a chance to drive with them because a big rainstorm rolled thru. Just impressions from installation I'm not happy. They are not convex so any vibrations will be exaggerated. They also only came with rubber washers so getting them tight enough to not move was next to impossible. I'm thinking I might try something else.

Thanks Kyle, that's what I was afraid of. I just ordered the ones TTEChris was trying. They seem a bit more secure. Like I said, lot's of good suggestions on this thread!

I put the parts list in the description
Thanks @Moto_21

As I mentioned prior, the credit goes to Moto. It’s his idea, I’m just living proof (aside from him), that it works. I love my set up. Simple quick easy stable and looks good.

Great idea! I love the simplicity. Our Jeeps are just so versatile and customizable, anything works.

What are you doing for the passenger side though? You might need a longer arm

Installed the Motor City Aftermarket mirrors. They're pretty sturdy and high quality. After peeling off their sticker, it looks like the mirror piece is made by rugged ridge :P
