Problem is it's an XR and it's just high enough to where the wife is sliding on the leather seat bolster to get out currently and the leather will be worn in no time. Rubicon has no bars/boards yet so the sill area is the only place to step without rubbing all over the bolster. Bars are on the way but both would be better imo.If you don’t have kids or vertically challenged people entering and exiting your Jeep regularly, don’t bother. There is really zero reason to step there and if soft soled footwear is used, not a big deal. I think it’s an as needed purchase. My door sills look brand new.
I’ve been wanting to try this with the Line-x colour match, did you notice any sort of seal issues with the doors? If you search "door sill JLWranglerforum" on Google, you'll see all the threads on it. Personally, I hated them and used bedliner to make my own.
My wife slides off the seat too and I have side steps. I cringe every time she does it. I’m like “use the side step”! And as an added bonus, she slams the door shut like she’ll win a prize if it falls off the hinges.Problem is it's an XR and it's just high enough to where the wife is sliding on the leather seat bolster to get out currently and the leather will be worn in no time. That would be annoying, to be sure....as an added bonus, she slams the door shut like she’ll win a prize if it falls off the hinges.
Oh no. Not at all. I did 3 costs I think. Even LineX wouldn't be too thick. I did my hinges in it.I’ve been wanting to try this with the Line-x colour match, did you notice any sort of seal issues with the doors?
I had the same thing happening.. Not her fault as she is only 5' 2.5" (yes the .5 is importantProblem is it's an XR and it's just high enough to where the wife is sliding on the leather seat bolster to get out currently and the leather will be worn in no time. ). I installed side steps and showed her the best way to use them. She does much better now.I was thinking of doing the inside areas that the doors cover when closed, down to the pinch seams under, a lot of gravel roads have put quite a few chips in the paint.Oh no.
