I bought a newly introduced Penastar (September 2011) and thought it as an absolute rocket compared to my previous 3.8 JK. But..you had to wind it out. Over time, I wished that Jeep had reprofiled the cams to lose 25 top end horsepower and gain more low end torque. That would be a better fit in a Wrangler. It's never going to have the powerband of an EcoDiesel but could be pointed more in that direction.

I use WOT almost everytime I pass someone....
Not sure what speeds the Falken MTs are rated for, but I hit 90mph occasionally...

The intake design on the wangler is actually different than the other 3.6ls to help that low end torque you're asking for. It doesn't help terribly much but they knew about the issue when designing it

if they are oem they would probably be rated higher than the speed limiter is set for..speaking of speed ratings it is 5th wheel/trailer season in Montana and I am amazed at the speed some of these people are pulling their RVs at. I regular get passed by F350/450, duramax's, big rams pulling monster toy haulers doing close to 100mph...you know when you are doing 80mph and they blow by you like you are standing still they are hauling ass....I always figure some day those trailer tires are going to go up in smoke....

Used to know a guy who worked in PD motor pool with Mopar vehicles. He said they are great when working hard, it's the idle that kills them. I personally blame the stupid two level oil pumps. At no time do I want my engine to have 20psi oil when running, but thats what you get under 2000 rpm. Then it kicks up to 48psi.

Overly complicating the oiling system simply seems foolish.

my 3.6 psi is around 31 psi or so when driving under 2000 rpms. I agree tho I don't really just let it idle for any length of time.

usually when I get on the interstate I give it a little rpm to get the oil flowing and usually by them it is warmed a little.

I think the rpm delimiter between low and high PSI is 3000 RPM and the High oil PSI is 80.

A while back you mentioned during COVID oil seals were used that were not from the usual supplier. Do you know when this ended, are there any problems, and is Stellantis making good on engines out of warranty?
