Man I’m frustrated!

I bough the viar 450p stealth compressor for the jeep just under a year ago. Used it 15 times or so and took care of it. A week ago I filled 4 tires from empty and never had an issue with it. Adjusted the air a little in each a couple days later. Went to fill my spare tire from empty and it’s dead. Tested continuity and it’s fine, fuse is fine. It’s definitely not a power issue. It’s just dead.

The warranty page on viair page is like reading a story of screw you customer. Thanks for spending money but if we suck you can pay to ship it to us and we will determine if we would like to fix it for you.

I bought it right after it was released. Reading Amazon reviews seems like I might be the lucky one to get almost a year out of it.

Anyone else have the same problems with Viair compressors?

Nope, I never had a problem with mine but if I did I would send to them and see what happens. I work with companies and give them a chance to make right on it. If they don't then I seek alternative methods if necessary.

I ran a 400H in my Xterra for 6 years without issue. Paying for warranty shipping isn't particularly unusual and that's after they've qualified the repair.

Been using the one a step down from the 450, it’s been working great so far, 4 years now.... it gets pretty hot after 4 tires, but keeps performing.. I usually just go from 8-9 psi up to 29….. I put a longer electrical leads on it so I can pack to each tire since I have to use the on/off switch on the compressor, mine doesn’t have the on/off switch on the hose end….. I’m gonna upgrade to the dual everyone’s using, but it hasn’t worked its way up the priority list yet, lol…..

Two years and running on my Viair with no issues. I also bought mine on Amazon, so I have their return policy/support as needed. But definitely reach out to Viair to see what they can do for you. Can't imagine they wouldn't warranty it for at least a year.

I'm often occupied, by many things, often at the same time
Like everyone else that's posted, I've owned my Viair for a loonngg time (it's gotta be...wow, over 10 years, maybe closer to 20) and I've never had an issue. Works every time without a hiccup.

Any chance you were running it in cold temps? My old lincoln, with dual compressors, really doesnt like the freezing temps.

I've had a 440P for about 4 years. Really never saw much use other than a low tire here and there, until about a year ago. It's run 14 BOH trails and a few more, where airing down was the rule.

I’m glad you have had pretty good results. I spoke with support and they were helpful. I have a couple quick test to complete this evening and then they said they will setup a warranty claim.
