I would suggest that maybe you install the Clayton suspension, then do your shock measurements and order by min compressed and max extended lengths. I have the Clayton 2.5" and when I did that the Fox shock that best matched my measurements was the 4.5 - 6 inch lift version. I suspect that if you go with the 0 - 1.5 your droop is going to be limited by an overly short shock. It is a pain and adds time to the install, but in the end it gives you a much better performing suspension.
A good point and coupled with Clayton’s reply recommending the longer shocks, I shall take your advice!

Sweeeet. I was worried the 2.5” with 35’s would look like the Jeep skipped leg day ?

Decisions decisions…..
I'll probably step up to 37s when these wear out. But these don't look too bad.

I have the following items on order and scheduled for install next Monday.

My Unlimited Diesel Rubicon currently has an aftermarket aluminum front bumper with a Warn winch and 0.75" levelers on the front to counter the weight of the winch. The current rake looks to be exactly as it was when stock.

As follows are the front and rear measurements of the Wrangler before the lift install. I'll provide a similar update after the lift installation. The tape measurer is going directly through the center of each wheel hub.

I picked up the Wrangler from the shop today. In the pre-lift shots above, I spy 39 1/4" front and nearlry 40" rear at the first crease in the fenders. It's now 44 3/4" (+5.5") in the front and 43 7/8" (+3.8) in the rear. Did they put a taller RK lift than the 2.5" I ordered or does the lift vary from make to make?

I could be wrong here, but I think your new measurements include your new lift plus the size of your new tires so that’s probably where you’re getting the big increase in height. ??‍♂

Sorry for the late reply, I've been offline for a week.

I like the set up. It provides a ride very close to factory in terms of firmness and road feel. It does tend to make you feel a little more disconnected in the steering compared to stock. But, I also went from 33" BFs to 35" Falkens. So, it's not an apples to apples comparison. I've already checked the torque after 1,000 miles and decided to see what it's like to add grease to all the fittings (not that it was needed yet, I just wanted to see what it was like doing it). Up close, you can tell it's quality stuff.

Off road, it's been excellent!

I went RK X factor 3.5” with 38s. It’s a little on the firm side but I am still playing with tire pressures.

I'm really impressed with the 2.5" AEV DualSport XP. They eat up washboard roads, stock or better road manners, and decent articulation. We've only done 7/10 trails so far (Wheeler Lake near Breckenridge), but did really well there.

The Bilstein XP8100 reservoir shocks are rebuildable too.

Edit: 37" KO2s

Not sure if it’s been mentioned, but, if you want to run a 2.5 MC on the diesel, you will need the 3.5” front springs for the weight. At least that’s what I had to do. Hope this helps someone.
