I have the following items on order and scheduled for install next Monday.

My Unlimited Diesel Rubicon currently has an aftermarket aluminum front bumper with a Warn winch and 0.75" levelers on the front to counter the weight of the winch. The current rake looks to be exactly as it was when stock.

As follows are the front and rear measurements of the Wrangler before the lift install. I'll provide a similar update after the lift installation. The tape measurer is going directly through the center of each wheel hub.

Thanks, that is really interesting. I took those exact same pictures (posted on my build thread) of my 2020 JLURD, and was over an inch higher in the front and about an inch higher in the rear stock. I wonder what accounts for the difference. An inch of height loss on factory springs would need about 280lbs of added weight. Worst case you bumper and winch is less than half of that...which should be more than made up for by the .75 inch spacer. In tracking diesel stats for the last couple years I have noted more variation between vehicles than I would expect OEM.

Thanks for posting, will look forward to your post suspension pics and measurements.

Nice! Please post up photos of the overall look when it’s done. I’m trying to decide on which lift and lift height I want for 35’s. This is one of my tentative configurations. Can’t decide if I want 1.5” or 2.5”, and it’s down to the RK or Clayton lifts.

Both sizes look good with 35's but the 1.5" kits fit them perfectly on Rubicons! Attaching some customer photos below.

For point of comparison this is the Clayton 2.5 on a JLURD on 35s with fender liners stripped and aftermarket inner fenders. Flexed out at just over 900 on RTI and still had a bit of room left between wheel and fender.

Dang, that looks GOOD.

I’m really leaning towards your 1.5” Overland+ paired with Fox 2.0 0-1.5” lift shocks, Dirty Life DT1’s in bronze and either Nitto Ridge Grapplers or Falken AT3W’s. I really wish @Northridge4x4 carried the Falkens so I could make this all a one stop shop. ?

Sounds like they can hook you up with everything! We would recommend going with the 2-3" set of Fox shocks for best results with this kit. If you have any questions at all, just let us know :like:

I would suggest that maybe you install the Clayton suspension, then do your shock measurements and order by min compressed and max extended lengths. I have the Clayton 2.5" and when I did that the Fox shock that best matched my measurements was the 4.5 - 6 inch lift version. I suspect that if you go with the 0 - 1.5 your droop is going to be limited by an overly short shock. It is a pain and adds time to the install, but in the end it gives you a much better performing suspension.

We actually do recommend the 2-3" set of shocks with the 1.5" kits!
