Defroster solutions?

I'm going to try, I just haven't experienced the problem yet so I don't know how to fix it. What is exactly happening?

1/2" x 24" x 1/8" aluminum with a slot cut in center. Gorilla tape over it. Works perfect so far

Is there enough air near the end of the defrost panel to redirect the air out to the sides or is limiting the air in the middle the way to go?

There is near zero air being directed to either end of the defrost vents. Limiting from the center works. Here are some new pics of the simple solution we came up with. Actually works a charm.

Took us all of 5 min to install. Haha! Ghetto.

Here’s my setup with the 22 slots in the middle plugged. Each slot still lets enough air through to do the middle yet diverts the rest to the sides. This works perfectly for me. Just wish there was a single piece black diverter to go across.
