DEF Usage

I have the opposite problem: I accidently ordered a 4-pack of 2.5 gallon jugs (damn that one touch buy button on Amazon). I only drive about 6,000 miles/per year, so now I'm virtually willing the DEF level to drop so my "inventory" doesn't go stale.

Keep it in a cool place I hear it breaks down easily. My buddy bought budget def at the local Wally World for his Ford HD diesel said he noticed a huge consumption difference. I have great luck with the Blue Def Platinum backed up with Hot Shots fuel treatment added every third fill up. In my logical thinking, the cleaner burning, less shoot build up, less DEF regen Cycles.

I wish there was a different way to make our diesels “clean” burning. This emissions crap is killing the diesel.
