I have two questions for the other diesel owners:

1. Did you experience or do you continue to experience oil usage on your motor? I have 6,100 miles on mine and just over 5,000 miles, I noticed I was a quart low. I just topped it off.

2. Have you ever paid attention to your oil pressure from cold start to the point of normal operating temp on the oil? Mine starts off between 60 and 80 PSI cold and once the oil temp is up to normal, it drops to 26-35 ish PSI. I'm curious what others witness.

Thanks.

AS far as the former, mine and hers went through a quart around 7500 miles. After the first oil change, they seem to tighten up. Hers is at 8500 since the last change and has lost very little if any oil.

Now that the entire US is using synthetic oil it takes MUCH longer for rings and seals to expand. I can only imagine its worse with a diesel. I'm at 36k on a 3.6 and it's just now using less oil than when new. These new engines are built for 100k's of miles.

A little over 3,000 miles and noticed oil level getting low on the dip stick. Bought it in Feb. 2022 and only take it out for weekend field trips. Almost 9 months old so rather than add oil I'm just going to do an early oil change. I'll change it myself because like a lot of folks I don't trust the dealer. I've never really paid attention to the oil pressure numbers but I will now and post what I see.

I am at 109000 miles on my 2020. Less than half a quart oil loss in 9500 miles. Oil pressure is 70 to 80 psi cold 30 psi warm going down the road.

I've been watching the oil pressure gauge. On a cold (40F) morning she reads around 74 PSI on start-up and sitting there at idle. After she warms up she reads about 24 PSI at idle. About 35 PSI warmed up and flying down the highway. About the same as you other guys 🤠
