I had a MORE dead pedal in my 2021, which I liked, but apparently no more holes in the 2024. I’m not interested in trying to drill my own (I’m a big dude, I could barely reach down there to install the MORE, I’m not convinced I could accurately drill in the footwell), so what alternatives are there? Any decent substitute? Also, someone said the 2024 4xe doesn’t have the holes, I assume the same is true for the gas Jeeps? Anyone confirmed? Looking for a solution for my inbound 2024 Willy’s 3.6L.

I ordered one from Amazon and have no issues with it.

How easy is it to remove the floor mat with that installed? I seem to always be pulling out the floor mat to dump dirt etc. Looks like a tight fit that might make removing the mat tough to do.

I got the Quadratec with the optional rubber pad and like it a lot. Mounts to an existing bolt and is on a hinge. So it is easy to raise up and stay out of the way to remove floor mats.

That's the same dead pedal I installed yesterday. No drilling. Couldn't be any easier to install.

Same here. I've had it in for over a year now and it's held up well.

I don't know about the others, but the Quadratec dead pedal (which I have) flips up so theres no issue removing the floor mat.

I have the Hooke offroad one, which is designed similar to that one. It's not hard to remove the mat, but it can be a little tricky getting it back in - the pedal will lift up a little (the bracket has some flex to it) so you just lift the pedal up enough to shimmy the floormat under it.

OR you could just get Armorlite and not worry about it anymore. :)

This is the Dead Pedal I designed. The bottom flips up easily to remove the floor mat. Simple to install. Like most all Dead Pedals, it does not work for the 4xe. The 4xe is missing the firewall threaded stud that the pedal mounts to.

I designed my pedal with a little extra usage in mine. I use the Old School floor dimmer switch in our Jeeps. I have it connected to the Baja Designs LP6s on the bumper for the ultimate backroad bright lights. I can turn them on and off with my foot so no fumbling for a button to push by hand while driving. I also have a momentary switch option. Some customers are using that to control their air horns. I have one customer who uses it to turn cameras on and off that he has mounted for rock crawling.

Made from 1/8 aluminum with texture powder coat.

Happy with my Metalcloak dead pedal. I like the rubber inserts and their customer service is the best in industry. Feels like I’m dealing with a local shop.

Very happy with the Metalcloak in my 2024 392 - it was a simple install and it flips up. I might powdercoat or paint it at some point since it's the only bare metal in the rig right now.

I have the same one. Super comfy and like the adjustability of it.
