Thanks Rick…., now I’ve got to get creative with why I need new tires, the wife is a little too Jeep savvy to fall for the ole “flux capacitor “ type shit…… …….nobody to blame but myself for that though…………. damn it….

All this talk of 38s, I thought I’d get her up on the ramp to see how much more pinch I’ll need to trim….I'm thinking about another 1/2-3/4”. Also probably have to modify my Artec inner fenders as well…it gets close now…

I think I’m ok in the front , even though it looks like I’m rubbing, I actually have a little over an inch at the closest spot……

I would think you would be able to run 38” tires without any trimming. I use three Metalcloak spacers both front and rear. To make the 38” pats I run work without trimming I just removed the rear spring and placed one of the wheels on the axle. I cycled it up and down onto the bump stop and made adjustments to the control arms until the wheel was perfectly centered. Then I adjusted for the driveline angle. You might try that before trimming although you might be running few spacers. You will like the 38’s, I love mine. I think they are the sweet spot for a JLU. Hey bud, I’m running 3-1/2” bump right now, I could try taking my 1/2” out and put in a 1” but I’m not sure I want to do that… I centered my rear wheels in the well… I really don’t like that forward look that Jeep set up, bugs the crap out of me, lol…. Maybe the 38s will look to far back and I can move the axle forward, lol…
Do you have a side pic of your rear wheel ?

I just pulled it out for a few pics. I can see what you’re saying about the tire being slightly forward now that you mentioned it. The 38” tires fill up the fender well really nicely so I don’t think I noticed it was slightly forward.

Yeah, that doesn’t look as bad as the stock height rigs…. I think with more fender gap, it’s less noticeable……..here’s where mine sits now…

Yeah, yours doesn’t look bad…. Are the Pats a true 38 on the Jeep , or do they run a little smaller ? My Nittos, RGs are about 1-1/4” under…. Hoping the TGs are closer to advertised……

The trail to run smaller than advertised. My 40,s measured 38.65 at 29 psi. Now my 42 inch Mickeys are exactly 42 inches at 27 psi
