Roky, you might try Mystik JT-6 High Temp Grease as an alternative to R&T. I absolutely hated how every time I picked up the grease gun, red oil ran out. That doesn't happen with Mystik and they are nearly identical looking at the sds.
Thanks brother, I’ll look into it…

Man, I’m not sure how you are not replacing every joint constantly in those conditions 😮

Yeah, I always spray everything off as soon as we get home…. But the sand is a bushing killer if you don’t keep up with it…..

What are you doing to maintain the Heim joints? As I am adding in the RK parts, I get the bushing end requirements, but not much is said about the Heims. Keeping them clean and mud free is a given, but what about any lubricants? Wd-40, lithium? Maybe just keep them covered with fluid film? I have not worked with Heims in the past, just various poly bushings.

Thanks!

Mike

Hi Mike,
I use this ……

https://www.walmart.com/ip/DuPont-T...e=1&gbraid=0AAAAADmfBIoMbxxsbB6SX-N-oA2iOS2yg

But anything you do is good…. They’re pretty indestructible…. I spray mine down with oil changes or as needed …

Couple little things been putting off, for no good reason, just seemed to get pushed back, lol….. I extended my drain on my catch can so I don’t have to raise the hood to drain it, also hoping I’ll remember it better, 🤣 …..Also extended my diff breather, it was getting pretty tight at full droop…..

Oh how I wish that was as easy as it sounds…😂 …… I pulled my inner fender for better access and ended up with a nutsert coming loose and spinning making it impossible to get the bolt out…. Finally got to the back of it with pliers to hold it and got the bolt out… Turns out the hole was wallowed out to much to put in another one unless I went larger… but having to get 2 Allen wrenches out to take off fender was not appealing…..luckily the body panel is 2 piece in that location, was able to pry open enough to put a washer between the 2 that fit the 1/4-20 nutsert and was able to get it to stay…

Had to remove the fender flare to get rivtool in and this fell out…I had forgotten all about this being in there… 😂 …For the noobs, this was a must do, all the rage back in the day, rubber tubing to keep debris from between fender and body….Believe me, this was definitely first world problem back then, you just weren’t cool if you didn’t have it………😂 Been in there 6 years, I guess I’ll leave in there…..😂

Nothing new with my rig, but had a good day….. put an Icon stage 5 2.5” lift and 37s on a buddy’s 2023 Rubi…. And my other buddy’s 2020 Sport S got Rubi take offs and wheels and tires……

I have to say I was pretty impressed with the Icon lift…. They cover all the bases for geometry and use I/2 “ front/ rear coil spacers for passenger side lean… Adjustable Remote Resi shocks were beefy, and well built…… the actual amount of lift was 3.25” but the front/rear adjustable track bars were preset and were spot on, axles were dead center……longer fixed control arms gave it 6.1 degrees of caster…Pretty sweet…

Super smooth ride on road, off road TBD…. Durability/longevity also TBD……

The Sport S got 2” of lift from the Rubi takeoffs.
I told him to get some Mopar lift lcas coming…Also he experienced DW yesterday, track bar was shot…..I gave him my old RK track bar, which I just rebuilt, and I also gave him my old Fox IFP steering stabilizer, so I freed up some space in the shed, and he got free parts… win win…😎 .

That storm packed a punch. Glad you were prepared and came through safely. You might need to add a snorkel if these storms keeping getting stronger.

Had some guys ask me how well the RK springs carry extra weight so….Top pic is empty, bottom pic there’s 10-40# bags of salt./400 lbs in the cargo area…..I did this study awhile back but didn’t get a side pic …..I think these 5 year old RK springs carry the weight pretty good…
