Great shots. I’ll see how mine articulates in the wild this Saturday. P.s just noticed we’re running the exact same sliders and front bumper
Awesome…… I do luv me some LoD….RK and LoD both told me that the sliders wouldn’t work with the long arm kit…. Not wanting to get another brand/type of sliders, I chose to weld them on….figured if I destroy them then I’ll look into other options, but thats not likely to happen, they’re pretty bomb proof…..lol..

@Roky I have a question do you about how you set your bump stop length. Do you set it based off the whole axle pushed up, or based on the individual sides articulating? I measured both and the individual side measurement needed a lot more bump than when both sides were pushed up together.

Hey Chris,
I cycle the axle straight up,( both sides same time…) When articulating the jounce doesn’t hit the pucks squarely anyway, and you’re usually flexing at a slow speed so not like it’s a sudden thud, besides on my shocks they have their own bumps on the shafts for extra protection……

Hey J,
it’s been a minute, lol…. How’s the rig?
It's been a few minutes lol Life is getting in the way of life :) All is good over here. Still wheeling and collecting some badges. Jeep is doing well: only new stuff is the 6pack shocks and CavFab tailgate. Love both! Havent had to service the shocks yet, but they are great without spending that extra level. Always good to see your tweaks!

Just finished my relay/isolator so my winch can’t be turned on without first pushing aux switch #1 .

Installed my Mishimoto oil catch can today. It’s a pretty easy install. This one appealed to me because of the drain hose with shutoff valve. I didn’t want unscrew the canister, I’m way to clumsy, I could see the handwriting on the wall with that scenario, oil spilled everywhere............

My Artec inner fender wouldn’t let me attach the drain hose where they wanted it. So I decided to just leave it loose and I tied it up with a Velcro strap for now, and I can just unhook it drop it down when I need to empty it........:).

I didn’t install it for the increased horsepower and improved gas mileage.....:giggle:....... more for when we’re on an inclined obstacle to long and avoid this.......

Every once in a while Amazon bites me in the ass….:headbang: …… I ordered some 1/4-20s for my inner fenders. I ordered black stainless and you know how it is, in a hurry, but just scrolled till I seen what I was looking for and swiped buy now…..

Well that’s not what I got…..🤬

I mean, I don’t keep my rig pristine, mall/starbucks clean all the time, but rust is a different story….. I hate rust, makes it look like I don’t give a shit, when in fact I do ! My rig is spoiled rotten……🤣

Anyway, I’ve decided if I can’t source what I need locally, I’m only gonna use the Bolt Depot….. @hoag4147 turned me on to them when I needed new flat head body mount bolts because my rear lca was contacting the oem’s at full stuff…….Been using them for other bolts ever since, but, in a hurry, to easy to swipe “buy now”, blah blah blah, you know…….😂

TLDR…. Got new black stainless bolts for my inner fenders……..🤣

Got to love bolt depot 👍🏻. When I was searching for a specific bolt for my Fox ATS they seem to have EVERY combination of size/color/thread/material, etc you could want.

looks great brother 👍🏻

Grease day! 👨‍🔧 …..3 different grease guns, 3 different grease's, 3 different grease fittings….some tub-o-towels, grease rag, and a 90 degree pick……

Jeep Wrangler JL Crystal Rubi build… IMG_0074

Here in Sand Land sometimes the zerk gets so covered you can’t even see it like this….

Jeep Wrangler JL Crystal Rubi build… IMG_5703

I found it’s best to clean the zerk and use the angle pick to push the ball bearing in a couple times before applying the grease…..

zerk check list….

Lucas green grease:
Ball joints
RCV axle shafts
Driveshaft
Sector-shaft brace

Red & Tacky grease:
Drag link
Tie rod

Mobilux EP1grease:
All 7 control arms
Both track bars
Rear sway bar links

I got it down to 20 minutes, I do this twice a year, easy peasy….✌

Hey brother, I typically just use Lucas Red & Tacky for everything. What’s the advantage to the green one? Maybe I should be changing things up.

Hi Victor,
No need to change anything….. I just started out using the Lucas X-tra heavy duty grease on everything, then when I got my RK Pro X tie rod and drag link they recommended Red and Tacky, thus the 3 different grease’s…. I have to use grade 1 grease in all RK control arms and track bars……

Roky, you might try Mystik JT-6 High Temp Grease as an alternative to R&T. I absolutely hated how every time I picked up the grease gun, red oil ran out. That doesn't happen with Mystik and they are nearly identical looking at the sds.
