Who’s got the highest tally so far? I’m on my 5th windshield in ~13 months. Absurd. I think I finally figured out why they let you put the front window down. I just have to get a storm trooper helmet now.

Anyone had success with a bug/rock deflector? Really not a fan of the look, but I had to do that for my FJ80, and I recall it helped.

I thought I was doing pretty good; I'm having my 4th in 12-1/2 months installed this Friday. Still time to catch you!

I'm on my 3rd windshield and have always had the deflector -- no help. Lifted, not lifted, winter, summer -- doesn't seem to matter. Rocks seem attracted to the JL. I'm due for another windshield but holding out to not get my insurance company all PO at me for another claim. Oh, 12 months of ownership....

I joined the club a few weeks ago when a rock hit my 18 JLR. I joined again today when a rock hit my 20 JLR that I traded the 18 in for!

My ‘18 only made it a week. Happened on the highway back from Kansas City. Crack grew to over 6 inches before I got back home. Hope I’ll have better luck with my new ‘20.

Wow @Bucks45, that’s quite a coincidence.
This is the new one. It's actually grown since yesterday. Its almost all the way down. The bad part is I hadn't told my insurance agent yet (I have 30 days with my policy). I called today, added the new one, and she told me to wait until Monday so the 20 has time to be put on the policy!

Joining your club...lol...my rubicon got the first crack at 2 weeks, I didn't even hear the hit, just looked over and it was there. The second hit was right above it at 6 months, I was on my way home from vacation...80 miles on rocky roads just fine and i get the hit on the freeway...go figure

Checking in. First crack at 6600 miles... sigh. Called Safelite and the lady on the phone couldn’t find the windshield compatible with my ACC. She suggested i in person to have then find the part. Other option is the use the dealer and let them sublet it out. SMH.

Well fellas, it was only a matter of WHEN not IF. Glad to be a part of the gun club.

Going to submit my claim tomorrow with USAA. Wondering if Safelite is still the way to go?

Safelite did fine on mine. They replaced with OEM glass in the parking lot at work.

Thanks for the reply broski.

Also, did the OEM glass they brought out have the little Jeep decal or am I going to have to find one online?

Yeah it happens fast. I've cracked two of them. The second one was a star, closed the door it was half way up the windshield, off roaded and it's now top to bottom. Hopefully Gorilla Glass will be out soon.

FYI, the acoustic windshield is not only for the Rubicon, it is for any model with the Alpine stereo and will actually say "acoustic" in the lower left corner.
