sure, on a 20 year old Buick maybe, but this is a 4-5 year old Jeep. It’s not the water pump.

I doubt it’s the head gasket because he isn’t consuming coolant.
The rad pics give better clues. Mileage has a lot to do with it too... but one wants to think of the worst and hope for the best .. gasket not very likely but from what I understand he recently had coolant replaced plus I originally understood it boiled over. Anyhow if the rest of the radiator was as some of the pics show there should be a big difference after getting that stuff out.

The warranty stuff is very weird - my warranty expired ages ago, but the California emissions warranty is covering my ECU replacement(not sure if this is unique to CA registered vehicles?), and chrysler is covering my steering gear replacement - all despite it only having a powertrain warranty (which only covers lubricated parts)
It’s not weird so much as it is just explicitly listed.

Washing it off and changing coolant seems to have helped significantly - couldn’t get it to overheat - but did see temps get a little high - probably due to radiator damage & timing issues

I wouldn't worry about momentary spikes in temps. These sensors are sensitive. It's when the temp stays in the red, for an extended period that you have to worry.
As for radiator damage, how is it damaged??? Are the fins bent? Is it leaking?? Is it fi!led with rust(doubtfu?)?? So, there shouldn't be damage to it. It is non-mechanical(no moving parts). It either works, or it doesn't.

Heck, I have a 2006 Dodge 2500 diesel, that developed a crack in the radiator. It was on top, on the plastic sections. i roughed up the area with sandpaper, smeared epoxy on it, let it cure, and then topped the.fluid off. 5 years later, its still running strong, without any leaks.

If it were my Jeep, I would soak the exterior of the radiator again, and flush the fins out, a few more times.
Also, make sure your fan is kicking in hard, when the engine is stressed and hot. It should be obnoxiously loud, like a small jet engine.

Some fins bent - it’s not too bad - mostly towards the top

Temps haven’t gotten over 75% of the gauge - not sure exact #…. Timing issues may also be a component here as the dealer still hasn’t replaced my ECU… and I’ve noticed the shifting is all whack
