Not that it really matters with Jeep dealers as they all seem to follow their own rules, but my radiator was leaking at 38 months with 31,000 miles and my local dealer would not cover the repair under the powertrain warranty.
yup that is jeep

Yes... needs a new thermiator .. "maximum thermal power of the radiator should be greater than thermal power of the engine".- I wish I could joke about this but were in 2000s and very few american manufacturers seemed to figure this out. Our systems are taxed with oil and exhaust cooling . It just seems to me that they field tested vehicles in the arctic during the winter.
I don't think you are understanding thermal power. The total Tdelta across the HX is the indication of its Q. The highest temps on Earth should not result in overheating of the engine under any normal driving conditions. Some other system failure must occur first.

In that case combustion pressures /temps are at play u say

Be more specific? I don’t know what you mean.
coolant might be exposed at some point .. to combustion temps (gasket mating surface) ... but he should also check the pump for proper flow which nobody mentioned this would stagnate the cooling process ..can cause overheating .. Ive seen pumps eaten from the inside.

Welp, I got some pics of radiator - top few inches are caked in mud - washing may have helped clean the lower parts out - last pic is top - other pic is middle - then also a pic from the bottom up

I'm thinking ill just hose it off as much as I can, and if that doesn't solve the issue I'll replace the flush the coolant & replace the radiator

The big black one in front is the AC correct? and the little black one in front & above is the power steering correct?

Could just the top few inches of it being full of mud cause much higher temps???

the bottom photos look pretty darn nasty .. give it the hose if this helps now u know ...the front is the ac condenser ..it doesnt matter if u dont know which is which ...all should be clean ..make clean everything make clean... its at least part of ur problem to say the least.. u should notice a difference but how much.. only u will find out.

Well, this may be a good sign. Stress the system out, and let us know if cleaning the radiator. Worked.

sure, on a 20 year old Buick maybe, but this is a 4-5 year old Jeep. It’s not the water pump.

I doubt it’s the head gasket because he isn’t consuming coolant.

Washed out radiator, looked like quite a bit of dirt came out, going to test it this weekend to see if it still overheats

Is it 70k? Or maybe 60k? I'm not sure. I'll have to check.

The warranty stuff is very weird - my warranty expired ages ago, but the California emissions warranty is covering my ECU replacement(not sure if this is unique to CA registered vehicles?), and chrysler is covering my steering gear replacement - all despite it only having a powertrain warranty (which only covers lubricated parts)
