Changing an order

Hi everyone,

I'm new to the group, not new to Jeeps. I've owned a 16' JKU Willy's and an 02' Jeep TJ. I just sold my TJ and placed an order for a 2021 JLUR, and I'm beyond excited! Quick question though, my dealer says they are unable to make any changes to the vehicle, and I only ordered a week ago today. I've read countless times on this forum where people have made changes much later in the process than I am. I ordered Sting Gray, and originally I did not get the color matched fenders, but the more I look at pictures, I wish I would have. Can anyone provide assistance as to how I would get this changed.

I went through a local dealer in St. Louis which did give me great pricing, but the reason I went through them is my wife's cousin works there and I wanted to give him the business.

It depends on status. But once it hits D it can’t be changed. Some dealers will take your order and order you another one.

Unfortunately I did that and they said they can't make any changes. I just wanted to check here since I've read several people on here have made changes.
