I didn't know to ask the dealer before I started doing business with them if "how's your relationship with your FCA rep?". Now I know to ask that question, but in reality, no sales person is going to admit that up front. I don't want to lose my deposit AND the option prices have increased, so canceling and switching will cost me a lot of money. No dealer is going to play in your dealers playground. I cannot imagine a dealer not being able to get in touch with their FCA rep. Maybe this does happen. Either way do you want to do business with a dealer that cannot get a response from his rep? If the dealer is lying and really does not want to change the order by contacting the rep do you want to give him your business?
You are the consumer and you have the power in this situation. You can simply go to another dealer and order with the options you want. Jeep chat also does not hold a lot of weight. People get conflicting information and post about it on this forum every day. So you have two choices. Wait it out and hope it comes sooner or go to another dealer and place an order. Even with a new order you may still be waiting until May simply because they are overwhelmed with orders and shipping is all backed up.
