First off, Merry Christmas to you all! So I got the Metalcloak LCAs as a gift along with the Trackbar/Steering Box brace but this post pertains to the LCAs. My current setup is is the MC 3.5 TDR kit. I am using the MC UCAs (Set @ 20”) and the Mopar Lift LCAs and my caster is 5.3/5.4 per that last alignment. I am trying to decide how to set up the newer LCAs. I see a lot of people suggesting to use the Clayton control arm measurements. (U=20.401”, L=24.500”) Or set the CAs per MC suggestions (U=19.75”, L= 24.00”).
I will also say I previously set my UCAs to give my 6.7/6.8 caster but I was experiencing some serious vibes after installing the Adam’s front driveshaft so I had to adjust until I minimized the vibes.
Has anyone here with a 3.5” used the Clayton measurements and been happy with the settings?

I haven’t used the Clayton measurements, but here’s my arm measurements I had on my RK 3.5” lift short arms…caster was little over 6…….
Uppers 20”
Lowers 24.5”
Was you in 4 wd when you experienced vibrations , you shouldn’t have vibrations if you have the FAD , the front ds doesn’t spin in 2wd….

Thank you for your inputs. And yes the vibration is in 4Hi at speeds around 40-45mph, gets worse as you go faster.

I run the Metalcloak control arms with my Caster at 6.7. You want to make sure that your pinion and driveshaft angles are no more than 2 degrees difference between the pinion and driveshaft?

If you are experiencing a vibration between 35-45 MPH and it is super smooth at 65 MPH and above, it's the angles and if you get a vibration at 60-65 MPH and above, it's the driveshaft balance.

Not being a smartass, but why are you driving that fast in 4wd? You live in Florida, so no snow on the roads. That's the only great thing about having FAD on Jeeps. You can run a high caster and not worry about driveshaft vibration.

Did you set your control arms to the MC suggestions? I spoke to Chris at Mc yesterday as told hi my current setting and we came to a setting. Which I dialed in the new measurements on all 4 arms. I stil have to take it to get it aligned but I drove it this morning I think it’s the best it’s ever driven! I also installed the MC Trackbar Reinforcement bracket too. I’m getting new tires soon as my current 35’s have about 58k on them!

They may have been set initially to those specs for a starting point but probably were changed after the install starting point for the alignment, and the pinion and driveshaft angles.

Just wondering, what was the result that you had set it to? And was that with the adams driveshaft and you're getting no vibration?

I see this setup in my near future. Thanks!
