Finally got this thing 95% completed. A few more items to take care of.
Power is supplied by 200 watts of solar feeding a 100 AH lithium battery.
The diesel heater is mounted in the tongue box with a bulkhead leading to the interior. Installed this way the trailer gets a constant fresh air supply with results in zero condensation inside.
I used the trailer a few weeks ago for a 3 night trip and couldn’t be happier, the diesel heater is beyond ridiculous, overnight temps were negative 12-15C and with the heater on the lowest setting I woke at 3:00 am and it was 28C inside. The following nights I slept with the roof vent wide open and even then temps were around 20 C.
The bed setup allows my current 38” wide tri-fold mattress but can be extended to fit ip to a 75” x 54” full size mattress. The bed is also raised enough to sit up while getting dressed and also high enough for a Dometic cassette toilet to fit underneath.
The goal of this trailer was to be able to pull into a site and be ready to use almost immediately.

- fab a bracket to hang the on demand water heater from the upper exterior rail.
- fab a bracket to mount a side table to the lower side rail.
- mount propane tank on the tongue
- and a few misc small items like curtains, interior hooks for keys etc and maybe a small shelf or two.
