I'm cobbling together an inexpensive lift for my Jeep. I'm now looking for 1.5 to 2.0" bump stop extensions. The prices I'm seeing are nuts. $80 for just a rear set? $120 or more for front and rear set? That's nuts for how simple the parts are, often just plastic pucks with a hole in the middle. So I'm probably going to just make something. Has anybody here already tackled this? Maybe you could share the ideas you came up with. I'd like to see what you did.

Get a polyethylene slab from that forest site and cut what you need. Cheap, easy and functional. It’s what I did.

I used metalcloak bumpstops on the rear. The front; I bought 4 hockey pucks ($10) I bought SS bolts, nuts and washers ($10). It works fantastic and the best part, you can add & remove pucks without removing the spring. It's a little tight but I have done it several times. They're stackable, they work great!

Did your joust stops come with that hole in the center?

Mine did not. I cut a small V-shaped hole with an X-acto knife so it doesn't slide to one side. It's working great.

Hmmm. I just stumbled upon Metalcloak bump stop replacements. They are allegedly 1" longer than stock and smooth out bumps too. Set of all 4 is around $100 bucks. I might be willing to do that for a simple solution, if they really are longer than the stock bump stops.

Hockey pucks front like above.

For the rear, the 392 uses 1” cast iron bump stop extension that bolt on cleanly to the axle. They were around $35-40 shipped from the dealer if I recall correctly

68539877AB is what I used for the rear. You’ll need 2. Ebay prices are a ripoff for these imo

Anyone that has done a Metalcloak lift probably has a handful of spare pucks. I’m no where near Kentucky or I’d hand you some.

if I ever plan to have my springs out again I’m throwing in the Metalcloak durospring stops up front. I came down hard off a hill and hit my bump stops once at Moab and felt my spine compress. Wife was not happy.

When a diehard Rock Krawler fan is willing to use these, that says a lot. I bet you wouldn’t use them if they were gold colored.
