They don't say much about it. Do you think it is the same battery with a different brand name? Price is within a couple of bus of AA.
I'm also curious about this since Interstate is a reputable name... I'm from the Sears era & I was thinking about the Die Hard.

The Die-Hard has one big advantage, for me. It arrives Monday or Tuesday. Lol!

I just found a store not too far. I'll call them tomorrow, but I'd bet it will be backordered or at least take a few days to get here. But maybe I'll get lucky!

I'm no expert.. but... ditch the cover. Cause, that Odyssey is just to pretty to cover..... and well, no reason to cover it really. 8-)

When you change out the Aux, be sure drain holes are clear on the box that holds it.

My cover went right in the trash. What the heck purpose was it supposed to serve? Not to mention the Northstar is smaller so it wouldn’t even fit

Lol, yeah, I kinda like the red cover on that thing!

I dunno, maybe it had some insulation to protect from heat sink? I haven't looked under it.

It’s just a thin layer of felt. Probably to keep dust/dirt off the battery? Anyway it’s useless.

Sorry, I don't know too much about it but I doubt it. I would expect Interstate to last much longer that OEM. I'm like you in wanting to preemptively change my batteries before I get stranded. The JL's battery layout has worked for me so far so I don't want to fiddle with the wiring but my experience has been that OEM batteries last three years and one day from delivery. Lol. I'll probably go with this aux and the full size Interstate. The bad news is that Costco didnt 't have either one last time I checked.

Quick question for the experts. Any reason to keep the nice soft battery cover? Does it serve a purpose, or should I ditch it?
My guess is that it acts as a heat shield to prolong the life of the battery. That battery is really close to the engine in a very crammed compartment. Jeep is not gonna spend a penny on a cover unless it serves some purpose.

That's really the best guess I could make, but It is pretty thin.

Is it true that a Group 94 battery can replace the stock Group 48 w/o any additional hassles?

Nope. Not a Rubicon and no tow pkg.
Well, the group 48 Northstar linked above is no slouch. I do have a Rubicon with tow package and have no regrets.

Anyway, my wife always assures me that size doesn’t matter 😂

I've gotten that sentiment from my wife, too.
