In Texas if he said that to me, I would give him my address and ask him if he has ever met GOD. Rural ranches can be deadly for those who enter. I had a 7 ft game fence, and locked main gate, you get in by permission only, but if you get in without permission... Smith & Wesson, John Deer, Back Hoe!
Well Texas has that "criminal mischief at night" component to the legal use of deadly force to protect property. You don't even need the backhoe. The county coroner will collect and dispose of them for you.

Ok so just talked to jeep customer care case manager. In a nutshell. I’m beat. This is what I was just told.
Because jeep dealers are independently owned it is at their discretion as to what they will repair or fix. Jeep corporate is not liable for any damages incurred through a dealership. Proof or no proof. Take it up with the GM or owner.

Dealers are also not obliged to do any warranty work to your vehicle if they do not want to or if you didn’t buy it there.

Since they are independently owned there is nothing jeep corporate can or will do. The line I kept getting.
I retort-
So, if I break down somewhere you’re telling me the dealer I’m towed to doesn’t even have to look at my vehicle or attempt any repairs.
That is correct sir.
What in the flying flipping hell?!

They wouldn’t even reimburse me the jeep wave service they used. I’m dumbfounded.

This is my 4th wrangler and this is the worst experience I’ve ever had with any dealer. And I’ve owned like 30 vehicles.

So here’s the dealer peeps. I will be posting it everywhere after this.

LOL, too far out in the country for the coroner to come out. Besides that when we catch them we tell them we are going to "take them to the train station".

To be honest fence crossers out in ranch country are RARE. Folks know you cross Barbed Wire and you are wrong and are going to pay the price if you are caught.

The only time in all the years anyone crossed the fence was a buddy of mine from HS stealing gas from out at the barn. We kept 55 gals of gas for the ranch trucks and tractors.

From the TV room of our ranch house we could see the corral where the horses were and one night we saw a light flashing around. First thought was someone either stealing a horse or gas.

Dad said son, get our shotguns and I am going to the barn and corral and you go down the road and see if you find a truck.

Well I did, took down the license number and looked in the truck and there was a logging chain in the bed (lot of logging done out in E Tx. Well that truck was parked under the big Oak tree on the side of the road. So I grab and drag out that logging chain and double wrap around the right side of the rear axle and tie it off and then double wrap around the Oak tree. In the interim I hear Dad shot off 2 shots of 12 ga and I meet him at the fence line and he tells me they left a couple of gas cans on the ground. I told him about the truck.

On the way back to the house we hear a revving engine and a LOUD BANG. So get the ranch truck and drive up the road and their it sits, logging chain still attached and right rear axle pointing out from under the rear of the truck. Truck sat there for 3 days until it was gone.

I never spoke to him again, they were poor they were more sharecroppers than anything else and that was a junker. I never saw it again at school, I think he was riding the bus. He got killed in a one car right after HS drunk and hit a telephone pole and died. I don't know how he kmew where our ranch was, he had never been out there.

For some OEM's, I'd agree. It's not all of them. I think Chrysler brands have changed hands enough at this point, that some dealers are in bunker mentality mode. No support/intervention from corporate = do WTF they want.

Our local dealers are fine. They are trying to be good dealers. But it certainly shows signs of slipping in other locations.

So I brought my Willys in for its first oil change and tire rotation at my local dealer. Not where I purchased from. I’ve purchased quite a few vehicles in the past from them and have always had good experiences with their service shop.
I’m told under the jeep wave I need to pay 20$ to rotate in my spare. Ok fine. Need it done. 3700 miles and wheels and tires put on about 3k ago and the spare was mounted about a month ago. I needed a relocation and reinforcement to hang my 35.

So service guy comes out after hour and forty five minutes. I had a feeling something was wrong, just by the wait time.
Service guy says we couldn’t mount your spare, wtf. Is brand new. Tells me it’s stripped out and whoever mounted them before messed it up. Ummm. I mounted it on the back. There’s never been a center cap installed because of the camera. (Got them mounted and balanced and shipped to my house) He then refuses to give me my keys until I sign the R/O. I go out and look at my wheel and the two threaded cap mounts are reamed out. Like someone with a screw gun just was jamming them in there. So stripped out and unable to retap because is so bad.

Service guy keeps saying it was like that. My man, there’s chewed up threads on my wheel from your guy. He sees it and continues to tell me is like that. I show him photos of it before was mounted and after. Clearly is fine in the photos. Dude ignores me and tells me I need to talk to the service manager, who is magically not there.

I get in and leave, so angry. I also have no oil sticker on windshield and they only rotated front to back. And didn’t give me my lug key.

I show up the next day after work to talk to the service manager. Soon as I walk in dude has an attitude. I was upset, but calm at the time. Figured it’s an easy fix.

We’re walking out and I’m telling him there’s no way it was like that. Is brand new. I show him the pics, of when I received it and right after I mounted it. You can see that it’s fine and has no damage.

This guy then puffs up and basically try’s to flex on me and starts berating me that they’re aren’t gonna fix shit, and it was like that. How tf. Yelling at me that I did it. Guy is screaming in my face that I didn’t buy my jeep from them so they’re not fixing a fucking thing. And it’s my fucking problem. Then starts yelling that I don’t buy anything from them and never have.
I’m dumbfounded and livid at this time. (I purchased a bunch over the years there) but that’s here nor there.

I tell him you’re a lying pos. Look at the photos. I don’t care, fuck you he says. I tell him you’re paying for this. No tf I’m not. I’ll fuck you up he goes. Tell him I’m right here man. Then he continues to scream at me in the parking lot while I’m getting into my jeep. I’ll fuck you up and where do you live, I’ll come there and I’ll kill you. This is as I’m trying to leave.

Dude lost his mind. What benefit do I have to gripe over a 250$ wheel for no reason. It would cost me more time and money than that is even worth. I’ve been driving a lot. My mother passed in an awful house fire and been driving back and forth to NY to handle things. I don’t need to spend more time at the dealer for dumb things.

I have no idea what to do. I’ve called jeep and the owner of the dealership and have gotten nowhere. Owner will not answer or call back. Jeep said they’d call back and haven’t heard anything. I also contacted the police. This guy was a straight maniac.

I went there because I’ve always had good service on my Jeeps in the past.

I’m still just dumbfounded about the whole thing. Not to mention, I have to have it reserviced because I don’t trust they actually did anything but try to cover up the damage
Wow. So sorry to hear, man.

I see you are in Massachusetts. By any chance, did you drive across the country to Rairdon's of Bellingham....?!? ?

I'm sorry, and frankly a little shocked to read this. Don't forget to hit up the BBB as well and if you're feeling particularly vengeful, maybe your local news. Most have a reporter who does "consumer advocate" stories.

Again I’ve always had good service experiences their in the past.

I do all my own wrenching since then I know is right. I’ve done lift, arms, bumper, winch, track bars and braces etc. on this so far. And have built 5 other rigs and I build bikes too. I just haven’t had time to do oil and rotation since it’s been storming here like crazy past few weeks.
FWIW, I have seen CDJR dealer service take a dive over the past seven or eight years.

There is no justification for this type of treatment. My guess is that Stellantis is making dealers' life so miserable that they take it out on their customers.

In the many interactions with Jeep and Dodge dealers over the years, I've never had anything close to this type of encounter with service.

But then all of my purchases and service in the last 15 years have been at rural and small town dealers. This a typical thing for big town dealers then?
Nothing to do with small town vs big city dealers. Fruitland Park, Florida dealer where I bought my 2021 JLU80 treated me like shit for a simple warranty problem and refused to do it, while another Jeep dealer in Ocala also small town (25miles away) took care of it, no questions asked.

Not Jeep dealership specific, many auto dealerships basically have ex-cons and alcoholic/drug addicts turning wrenches in the shop.
Is this something they note on their webpage bios...? ?

"Brett spent the last 20 years at the US Penitentiary system; the last five at San Quentin. He really knows how to swing a bat...errr a wrench. He comes highly recommended."

OP delivers. The more this gets posted the higher it will get in the search engine rankings and this thread will be one of the first things popping up.

I hate dealers with a passion. Short list of issues at my dealer include:

- Incorrect oil and amount (12 Qts of T6 in my EcoDiesel)
- On my JKU I got my differentials serviced. Didn't put the rear drain bolt back in all the way and drove 100 miles to find my diff fluid all over the road and back of my Jeep.
- Replaced my transmission on my JKU under warranty told me to pick it up. I pick it up and it goes into limp mode before I leave the lot. Turns out it was a bad wiring harness. Got a new transmission for free. They also accused me of incorrectly servicing the transmission to get out of the warranty. I called their bluff with receipts and won that one (Wix filter and Mopar fluid).

I could go on and on. I think my local dealer has about a 20% success rate with me. Jeep dealers have the most incompetent "techs" I ever encountered. Basically, worthless unless you diagnose the issue before hand.

Right now your word against his….. what you need to do is go back with your phone in your pocket but recording…. Go up to him and calmly ask him if he’s reconsidered and let him loose it again. Then you’ll have proof and will get satisfaction cause he’ll get arrested for threatening you.
