Hello all

So I did some searching on here about us unfortunate sport owners (Kidding, love my sport) that don't have the factory Aux. switches. Mostly what I saw was aftermarket stuff and not a hole lot. Or some really stupidly priced stuff. Anyway I don't have the need for too many switch's. So here are some questions I was hoping someone could help with.

I went on Mopar's site and the Aux. switch panel is only $46.59. Is there anything wrong with installing the OEM panel?
https://store.mopar.com/oem-parts/m...pbWl0ZWQtd2lsbHlzLXNwb3J0JmU9Mi0wbC1sNC1nYXM=

I also went into the owners manual and it looks like Jeep has everything there ready to go, wires under the hood, and wires in the dash, is this correct? Is it literally plug and play?

But On the sport with the rubber insert in the dash does this install ok, and look ok once installed? Do you need like a blanking panel to go with the switch panel to install on a base sport?

If anyone has done this, thanks for a reply, and maybe a Pic.

Thanks!

That $46.59 panel you listed is only for the panel itself, not the entire kit. What you are looking for is here https://www.moparaccessorygiant.com...wrangler-auxiliary-switch-bank-kit-82215190ab ($351.90) There are many sources for this kit. As low was $304 to over $400.00) I bought and installed the Mopar kit shown above. Tough install but it works fine. My 19 Sport S did not come with the wires necessary to install.

Got a 21 JL. I tore the inside apart and searched under the hood for the wires for the switches. There were none. Ordered switches, relays and fuse holders. Had everything else. Got 4 switches ran for under $50. Lot of work, but the factory switches would have been the same. Sorry no pics.

Thank you all. I guess I am thinking old school, buy switch, hook to power, and to device, done. Not through Uconnect, so I can have multiple switch functionality. Nice feature, nice kit to, but does seem a little pricy for gaining 4 switches. The plastic piece that goes next to the switch panel they sell separate for only $14. Not sure what else in the kit would cost so much, plus when done you still have to pay the dealership. I do like the clean look though.

Have to do some more research when I get ready. Thanks Again.

I was wanting more switches on top of the 4 factory aux, and wanted them in a more convenient location to use on the fly without pulling my eyes too far away from the road. I opted for the SwitchPros SP9100 switch panel and controller. It's more money than the mopar system, but it's super easy to install, due to only having to route a coms cable from the underhood controller to the switch panel at the base of the a-pillar grab handle. This is the bundle I got from Northridge 4x4...

Hands down, they are my all time favorite, and pulled off the best live show I've ever been to. When Trent sat down at the piano.... wow... gives me goose bumps just thinking about it.

I installed the Mopar kit about a month ago. Got it from Quadratec and they priced matched from another website. Hardest part of install was running the wires through the firewall. Other than that, it was a piece of cake and I programmed with J-Scan. I prefer the OEM look, but to each his own.

Mike, thanks for sharing. I would love something like that but it is a little above my pay grade right now.

This is coming up for me right now cause I am pretty sure my wife got me some kind of light for Christmas. Keep in mind she is clueless about these things so more than likely if it is something that needs a mounting bracket, or a switch she didn't get any of that stuff, cause she doesn't know to.

God bless her she tries and is excited about what she got me. So of course there is no way I can't not use or install whatever it is she got. I realize of course I can get just one switch if I need to just to hook up one thing. But I am also the kind of person that would rather get something like what you posted Mike that would be a one and done for me, and that is going to fit all my needs for years to come.

I can always tell her that I need a $600 dollar controller to run the $50 dollar light she got me. :CWL: Will see how well that goes over.

Mike & Mike LOL. I do like the OEM look as well, thanks for posting.

Question, does it matter what Uconnect you have? cause I have the 3. The owners manual states that you have the ability to connect to the Uconnect, it doesn't state that you have to?

It is a nice option to have but just curious. Thanks.
