Thanks for chiming in. That's interesting. I did not know you got the 6 wires inside. I will have to check it out, no one has mentioned that before. This is with the Mopar OEM kit?

I will have to research to see how it all works. Four switches 10 wires?

Thanks
Not sure if you're asking me, but yes, I'm describing the factory aux switch hookup points. There are 2 locations to access the aux switches. Under the hood next to the main battery, there's 4 total wires. 1 for each of the 4 aux switches. The 2nd location is behind the glove box. This location has the same 4 wires plus 2 extras. Hot with ignition and direct to battery. They made it easy to access the aux switches, whether it's interior accessories or exterior lighting and whatnot.

Lose the two extras in the kit, unfortunately.

If you go with the Mopar kit, know that you have to take it to dealership to have them flash the computer to see the switches. Was a deal breaker for me. I went with Switch Pros too, and love it. Connects with your phone for programming, many advantages over Mopar. Can you install the switches, sure. Will it work, nope. Not until you make an appt, and pay dealership to flash computer.
I configured my self installed AUX switch kit with my Jscan with no problems.

They are no longer part of the factory installed aux switch wiring, or when buying it after the fact? If the latter, I guess that would make sense because the aux switches are part of the tow package that also includes a higher Amp charging system and battery with higher cca's.

The Mopar aftermarket kit.

I was wanting more switches on top of the 4 factory aux, and wanted them in a more convenient location to use on the fly without pulling my eyes too far away from the road. I opted for the SwitchPros SP9100 switch panel and controller. It's more money than the mopar system, but it's super easy to install, due to only having to route a coms cable from the underhood controller to the switch panel at the base of the a-pillar grab handle. This is the bundle I got from Northridge 4x4...

What mods do you have on the switches? Not that I need any more ideas :giggle:…

I already have my factory aux switch #3 hooked to a winch solenoid and #4 is slated for a higher powered inverter than the one associated to the 110v plug on the rear of the console. That leaves only the 2 lower Amp rated ones, which isn't enough for my lighting goals.

I wanted independent control of my lighting, and just forward lights alone takes up 4 out of 8 SwitchPros switches. The left half of the panel is the lower Amp switches and the other half is higher. If memory serves, it's 20 and 40 amps. #1 is for the pair of white Squadron Pros floods on the a-pillars, turned 45° out to the sides for flank and ditch lighting. #2 is the pair of white Squadron Pros spots on the a-pillars aimed straight ahead and adjusted to serve as a much more powerful high beam. #5 is the center pair of amber LP4 Pros and #6 is the outer pair of the same lights, both on the front bumper. Currently, all 4 have spot/wide cornering lenses but my plan is to change the center pair to a dedicated spot as soon as Baja Designs makes them available.

After the holidays, I have 16 Lux rgb magnetic rock lights to install. 12 of them will be dedicated to minimizing shadows from the tires, and will be controlled by #4. 2 will be used for under hood lighting and the last 2 will go in the cargo area. Those 4 lights will go on #5, because I'm always in the cargo area when the hoods open. #7 may end up with a whip light or 2 to serve as chase lights. #8 will be for auxiliary reverse/work area lighting that I don't want coming on every time I back up. I've been blinded by someone backing out of a spot in a lit up parking lot. I don't want to be that guy.

A trip to the dealer is not necessary. There are aftermarket programmers that can be had starting at about $100 that will enable the factory aux switches, among other things.
The point is, you can’t just wire the aux switches and they work, like 3rd party solutions. just making sure OP knew there is more to it, either dealership visit or programmer. Not everyone likes the expense of a programmer, or doing the programming. Or knows they need to reverse other programming they have done before taking their jeep to dealership, in case they flash and cause issues.

Thanks for all the information. Good to know all options.

I have been looking at the pro comp SS6. Only issue is where to mount the panel/controller. Anyone used this one?

Thanks!
