I don't think it will cause any issues, but you won't get the full efficiency of the vehicle if you have the 2.0 turbo 4 engine if you don't run premium like the manual recommends.... normal 3.6 v6 just recommends normalJust curious is everyone following the manual and use the premium gas ?
If you use regular will it really cause issues ?
I only put premium in mine.Just curious is everyone following the manual and use the premium gas ?

Regular octane gas in the 4xe is fine ONLY if you run premium electrons. If your manual says to use premium, you should use it. It’s only a few dollars a tankful to get all the performance you paid for when you bought the car. That said, the computer in your car will adjust timing so you won’t ping, but you lose horsepower.
The manual for the 4xe says I can burn regular. Curious because the regular 2.0t wants premium.
I've the 2.0 turbo e-torque, so I'll pretend I'm at least half qualified.IDK how I wound up on this side of JL but you're probably gonna wind up with a bunch of us non 4xe people replying
I live in California. Judging by price, all of my electrons are premiumRegular octane gas in the 4xe is fine ONLY if you run premium electrons.
