For my previous Jeep Gladiator I loved the Lange Originals Coyote mirrors. They were highly rated, priced well, and did really well in the winds when driving. Not to mention they looked pretty good too! ?

My issue for the 4xe is that the Coyote mirrors won’t work because of the placement of the charging port.

What mirrors are you all using when you have the doors off? Looking for some good recommendations. Preferably not a cheap Amazon option.

appreciate any input! I searched around and couldn’t anything specific to the 4xe.

I only have a driver side mirror, so I'm pretty used to rolling with only one mirror.

I use this guy. The length of the screw part is long enough to tighten the bolt as it sits in the top hinge bracket of your driver side door. Tighten it down quite a bit, otherwise it will flex around in the wind.

It gets the job done just fine, and it's only 8 bucks. Technically I guess you could do two mirrors if you wanted one for the passenger side. It's universal so it'll work on any side of the vehicle.

I have the Lange Coyote mirrors and like them a lot, also. Sucks to hear that they don’t work (on the driver’s side) with a 4xe… Never thought about that! Wow…

If you like the Lange products, they do make mirrors that mount on the upper door hinges - look just like your current ones.. Or maybe go for something mounts to the A-pillar? ?‍♂

Pricey? Yes.
Worth every penny? Yes.

Easy mounting, looks better than OEM, no rattles and no vibrations. They have options for the ‘18-‘23 JLs and the new ‘24s.

The Lange coyote mirrors will work if you don't mind doing some basic trimming. I have been running mine since the summer of 2022 on my 4xe. The mounting bracket is too thin to hook around the charging port panel but I just cut the piece off that hooks around the backside and it didn't seem to impact it at all. Still no movement or rattle/vibration going down the road.

I have a lot (30-40k miles) experience driving a TJ without mirrors. So I am used to being without them. This is not legal advice- haha.

I use the Mopar mirrors myself.

I’m new to the Jeep world and am planning on taking the top and doors off when the weather warms up. Does anyone have a bad experience with the “cheap” Amazon options? I want to experience the doors off option, but don’t want to spend too much for something that may not be used as often.

If you actually use them, I would pony up for good ones. I temped some in before we got out tube doors with mirrors and shaky mirrors are super annoying.

Another vote here for the Carolina Metal Masters ones. Hands down the best mirrors you can buy. They arent cheap, but worth it if you want them to last beyond your lifetime.

Thanks. My plan is to get tube doors as well, so my family feels safer riding with me. But I also want the option of no doors at times. I will do some more research to find the right balance.

Yeah this one is on my radar. In my original research I found it to be the highest rated/most praised. But the price! That’s why I went for the Lange mirrors. I may have to pony up now.
