Just ordered the SGW bypass cables and vLinker MC+ so I can use Jscan. I've been reading through the threads and saw extension cables mentioned in a few of the threads. I don't know how often I'll need to connect the Jscan - I'm going to reprogram mine for 35s, and my son is getting paddle shifters for his '20 JLUR so we'll need to add that in.
So, do we need the extension cables? Or can I just use the bypass cables when necessary?

. Wheels and tires are in the garage and the vLinker is coming tomorrow so I was hoping to toss them on after work and get it programmed. If it really sucks I'll order the cables for my son's JLUR when we have to program the paddles.
