I'm taking it back to the dealer to have the oil pressure checked on Tuesday , the shop manager even agreed with me that 26 psi is too low for oil pressure. They are going to see if the ECM is dropping the pressure or if there is something mechanically wrong with it. As far as the start up noises I don't know what to do about that. I noticed that the PCV gets a ton of oil that flows back into the intake so I may try a catch can.
The ECM can’t drop oil pressure. It has internal wear that is causing pressure to drop lower than desired. It won’t be long before it sets a fault code P000D and/or timing control faults.

An old rule of thumb for oil pressure is 10psi per 1000rpm.

26psi at idle is way more than adequate.

The ECM controls an oil pump relief solenoid which is what they are going to check

I understand that, but every other pentastar stays at 29 psi at idle according to other forums on this site.

I hear ya, but with that level of discrepancy, it could even be an oil pressure sensor out of spec??
Could be but one thing I notice is that if you shut the engine off and then start it up again the oil pressure will go back to 29 psi. Then you will hear a solenoid click making a "cluck cluck cluck" noise at idle then the pressure drops down to 26-27 psi. It's like this solenoid is dropping the oil pressure.

I'm betting you're going to get a "that's normal" from the dealer, in the end. The question I have is; what is the oil pressure at around 4000 rpm?

Hmmm that is kinda weird....
The question about what the pressure is at 4K (under load) would be good to find out.

The second stage works as it should, 3k rpm under load and it climbs rapidly. It's the low pressure I'm worried about.

It will go up to around 56 to 75 psi when the second stage of the pump activates
I was going to ask if the Pentastar had a multi-stage oil pump, like the 2.0T does.

The highest pressure I've observed with my Hurricane engine is maybe 49 PSI. That said, I don't have a heavy right foot. I don't know enough about the V6 to comment on whether 75 PSI is too high or not.

It does and it has a very loud solenoid controlling it.

Well, you're certainly making good pressure when it really counts. ?
Well we will see on Tuesday when we compare the ECM data verses actual pressure. Still doesn't fix the bleeding lifters though and what I am guessing is cold start spark knock.
