Well I think I got everything sorted out with the noise and oil pressure. Sorry for crap talking and hope I didn't cause any stress. I guess I got OCD or something. Thank you to all the people who helped out with their observations.

Thank you for doing that, at 185 mine will be at 29, usually it will drop to 28 and 27 after the oil temp reaches over 205 at idle then settle at 26 after a while. Once you start driving again it goes back to normal. I do mostly in town driving so a lot of stop and go in warm southern weather...

I'm not sure if altitude would affect oil pressure although I am guessing you are probably seeing colder weather.

Above 3500 rpm it will jump up past 77 psi like its supposed to and cruising is will bounce between 30 and 31. Hot idle after driving a while it will go to 29 then slowly drop to 28 and 27 then after a while settle at 26.

Old toyota's were that way, the new ones are complete crap and break constantly. The only new toyota I would buy is the 4runner because it still uses that reliable 4.0L. I'd still rather have the pentastar than the god awful new 3.5L they put in the new tacomas.

Keep in mind I am a tech so I see engines fail all the time, I am trying to avoid this situation.

The noise I can live with as long as I can duplicate it on other jeeps, its the oil pressure I want to make sure is right. Mine is also a manual so it probably doesn't dampen these things out as well as an automatic that has a fluid filled torque converter.
